The best SUV ever just got better! Are you prepared for Hyundai's next major release? With mass production currently set for December 2024, the much awaited next generation Palisade will actually begin to roll off the assembly line sooner than anticipated. This is a month ahead of schedule due to the growing demand for hybrid cars. Testing has shown that the next Palisade, codenamed LX3, would have a lot of enhancements over its predecessor. Hyundai raised their annual production goal to 210,000 units, a significant 30% increase over the previous year. Of these, 70,000 will be gasoline-powered cars and a significant 140,000 will be hybrids, indicating a clear move in the direction of environmentally friendly choices. Notably, this time there won't be a diesel version. In terms of powertrains, the present diesel and gasoline choices will be replaced with a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 and a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid engine found in the new Palisade. Thankfully, the car will come in two hybrid configurations-possibly plug-in and conventional-continuing the pattern started by the smaller Hyundai Santa Fe. The newest software-driven car technology is one of the cutting-edge technologies that Hyundai is also incorporating into the new Palisade. That means in addition to a Level 3 autonomous highway driving system, owners can anticipate receiving over-the-air upgrades for important components like airbags, suspension, and brakes. Nearly 4,000 Palisades were sold in Australia last year alone, demonstrating the growing popularity of the product. The new model seeks to build on that success by providing enhanced features and performance to beat well-known competitors like the Toyota Kluger and Mazda CX-9. In addition, the Palisade will shortly share the stage with Hyundai's forthcoming Ioniq 7 Electric, a similarly sized SUV with rear-wheel and all-wheel drive choices.
