I personally yelled at them more than once for dumping directly in lake boca. One time they were literally just dumping pizza boxes, fry baskets, and soda cans-no alcohol involved. I told them to get in the water and pick it up and they just mocked me and left. I had to pick it ALL up. They’re out there every week being incredibly reckless. Nearly hit my friends’ boat a week or so ago. None of this has to do with alcohol or fear of getting a dwi. They’re just entitled and the fact that the dad who owns the boat says that “this incident doesn’t reflect who they are” is a joke… clearly he doesn’t know his son in the slightest.

@@markpitchford7375 It wouldn't be any trouble if you were not underage, drinking on daddy's boat, and likely had said daddy back at the dock to help you berth that monster of a boat when you came in. Not many teenagers have enough experience to dock that thing. So, yes, to you and I, who are sane, it would be easy. But to a teenager with daddy's boat (a very large one at that), getting caught at the dock would be bad. Plus, it was not a "bunch" of cans. Jail time for dumping at sea? No, not for the type of debris that was dumped. Having said that, there is a good chance the boat owner will have his registration suspended for at least one year and there will be a hefty fine attached to any convictions. What bothers me the most is the absolute unawareness of these little cretins who thought the drone was merely documenting the good time they were having and not recording evidence that would be used to prosecute these stupid bastards.

The offense can be punishable by up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine. Thanks for catching this. And please keep us informed.
The kids looked proud of what they had done from all cam angles. Not a measurable notice of embarrassment or fear of being or having been caught. No amount of money or clout should buy these effing punks a life-ring. I'm a parent and since Wavy posted this it's had me so pissed. I've considered the perspective of being one of these little assholes parents and how I would react - as parents we'd do anything to protect our children, but how do you defend these actions???? Growing up in the 60s if you did something wrong our parents (at least mine and the ones I grew up around) made us face the consequences and ooohhh the embarrassment it caused a parent was immeasurable and getting "the belt" was the least of our punishment(s). What these miscreants did is indefensible, it's disgusting, a wantonly and wholly disrespectful act against nature and frankly life itself. OMG I am still seething over this - literally makes me nauseous each and every time I think of what these little shits did. This act it's unforgivable. So goddam mad about this I really can't collect my thoughts or even comment fluidly. If it were me I'd have to move and change my name. The "trust fund" effers that did this should be written out of wills, expelled for life from higher education as clearly it would all be for naught, forbidden for life from all waterways, and sentenced to a life of public service at min wage to do nothing but clean street gutters. I'll stop here - I'm on the verge of tears and at 60+yoa that just doesn't happen. Although I'd really like to rant more and start making wishes of ill fate, I can only pray that something good comes out of this. To the parents of these kids - what the f, what the absolute f ???

I was riding on a pleasure-boat doing some sightseeing on the Gulf Coast once. The captain was retired from the Coast Guard. He was telling us how he would inspect fishermen's boats. There was a thing where a lot of boats would put rancid garbage in the freezers along with the other items, to keep it from going bad during travels. He told us this one boat that he inspected and noticed the lack of trash for a lengthy voyage that seemed unexpected. So he fined them for that aspect alone. They were likely trying to fake their books for other purposes related to fishing or drugs.
I’m glad
I saw this just after you posted it. So happy it went global. Yes on jail time. no question. zero.

They all need to be held accountable for their actions, also the Boca Bash organizers need to to share some blame for not promoting good housekeeping practices among the participants.
This channel provided a tremendous community service! Also, the names of the teens caught are Michael Mastics Kirby and Charles Henry Ruth. The families have already lawyered up and started putting their money to work contracting a public relations firm to put out a statement demanding that they only receive community service... let that sink in. The families hired a public relations firm as part of their response to this incident.
