Just saw it last night at my local cinema and it was superb, a highly recommended watch. Reminiscent of Scanners in parts. Full recognition to the set and costume designer who recreated the 1970s with astonishing attention to detail. As did the themes of the satanic panic, charlatans and cheesy talk shows. The set was a character all of its own. From the brown tones to the wide collars, it recreated 1970s nostalgia. Special shout out to the casting; Ingrid Torelli, Rhys Auteri. Georgina Haig and Micheal Ironside as the narrator was inspired. The cast did an exceptional job alongside the lead who carried the whole thing masterfully. A film you can truly enjoy. Well done Shudder. Highly recommended.

Fake reviewer.. cmon you ain’t foolin anyone. most of these are fake or paid comments. Sometimes movie that don’t have a budget for hype or advertising do this.. look at all the comments all over this video… they all say the same stupid sh!t about the main actor who nobody really knows yet it would seem as if everyone knows who he is judging from the comment section.. it’s soooo obvious this is one of those fake review movies. Any real review for this movie doesn’t say it’s good at all. In fact go to IMDb and look thru the reviews and you’ll see this same sh!t about the main guy and then you’ll see more realistic sounding comments from real people and those ones all say it was the biggest steaming pile of crap. Anyway it still looks good but the comments on this vid are mostly fakes imo

@@SilentNinjaaa unfortunately yeah. Hollywood has become even more afraid of originally than it used to be... Though I don't think this is even a Hollywood production, was it? I heard it's Australian. It was released over there last year and is only now getting a wide release, likely due to seeing how well it did in Aus' first. So that'll be why. It wasn't really made by a big studio, but is getting a lot of recognition.. that makes it even more interesting to me. It seems this is a film that worked for the recognition, rather than automatically being given a worldwide release and massive marketing budget. Definitely curious to see it.

What an original thought to have shared here miss
One of the most original screenplays I've ever come across. Aside from that, the lead, David Dastmalchian, captures the essence, mannerisms, and speaking style of a 1970s talk show host to perfection. A very gifted actor. He strikes me as the American version of Christopher Lee. The cinematography, the color tones, as well as the format of the film perfectly mimics a 1970s late night talk show. Even if one doesn't like the story, the research this film and the actors took to accurately portray the style of late night television shows of that era is absolutely exceptional.
Loved it, thank you! I wish it lasted longer.

Saw this at the Denver Film Festival last year and it was amazing! Great movie to watch!
I'm so happy for you, David. 1000 Times More Brutal is one of the best indie films ever.
TV from the 1970’s had a specific visual quality and color palette. The production design of Late Night with the Devil appears to nail that look! 70’s horror is the scariest IMHO with the white noise, analog artifacts & sound effects and sometimes overexposed qualities of the film. I watched The Changeling (1980) when I was probably too young and this movie evokes a lot of that film with the wardrobe, hairstyles and set design. Jack Delroy (of the King?) is “humble”. He says “heck” and “gosh” not “hell” or “god”. First scary movie I’ve looked forward to seeing in years.
I love how everyone had the same initial reaction to David leading in this new film 😂 he fits so perfect too because he was so sinister and memorable in Prisoners.

I said the exact same thing. No trailer ever crept me out like the first teaser trailer and this is even better.
This characterization settled very well under David, it's very much his style.
Saw this last night. Absolutely brilliant film.
His work in Prisoners is phenomenal. This looks so disturbing and original. love it
First The Holdovers & now this. 60s/70s/80s style filmmaking are gracing our screens ever so beautifully. Now THIS, is what cinema is all about.
This looks amazing!!! David is underrated and he looks Ike he is about to be perfect in this!
Dc and Marvel had this guy a little spotlight and now he’s the star! I’ve been waiting a long time for this

He played the psychopath in BatMan: The Dark Knight He played the thief in AntMan: The Edgar Wright
I'm so happy they are using this actor he's brilliant
This is easily one of my top favorite horror movies of the past few years. Had my attention from start to finish. Wish they had done some kind of documentary style follow up that echoed the opening. An idea of what the TV audience's reaction was to what they saw would have offered some nice closure. But also who cares what I think? Not my wife. Great movie. Will watch again.
David Dastmalchian is a superb actor. Finally getting a role his talent so richly deserves. This is an instant watch! 👌

It's crap
The scariest part of this trailer is not knowing who is AI or not in the comment section 💀
Trailer is giving ‘VHS’ franchise vibes. And that’s always a good thing. Can’t wait to watch this.
I've enjoyed watching David's roles in many films and I'm glad they're giving him the recognition to take a lead role. Can't wait for this to hit theater
Been waiting for so long for this to drop!
