    Helpful because you do the exercises adapted from the gym machines that my trainer shows me in the gym. I made a similar set up from hardware store parts here in Australia. Also learned why I need a rubber pad too. The doggo was a definite plus.

    I bought a different system, but it is very similar. I wanted to see how you worked lats. I was hoping to do full lat pulls, but you addressed the problem of positioning. I thought maybe I had missed something, but it seems you see it like I do. I liked your review. Great set up! It's great when the gyms are closed or you need alternatives. Thanks!

    Hey brother how's it going? I just saw your video about lifting after l5s1 surgery. I remember you said that you were back to squatting and deadlifting in the 400s. How is your back doing now? I ask because I had a discectomy and a laminectomy 9 years ago and was told that I would most likely never need surgery again. I just recently started a job where I move 50 lb buckets around. You just gained a new subscriber.

    Thanks for reaching out and I greatly appreciate the sub! I’m glad to report that I am still pain free but I did have one occasion when the pain retuned to where it was pre surgery. After a high volume deadlift session I caught a 5 hour flight to Texas. The day after the flight my back pain was at a 10. It persisted for around 2 weeks. It resolved after taking doctor prescribed prednisone. I believe this was in July of 2021.. fast forward to today I still lift heavy but I completely removed barbell deadlifts from my training since that incident. I will perform dumbbell RDL’s but I stay in the 8-10 rep range and I still squat fairly heavy. I found that bodybuilding style training is more back friendly for me than training like a powerlifting.

    If you don’t like the Amazon one in Australia I got all I needed from Bunnings hardware to make this set up. There are plenty of DIY videos to be found on going this route. I’m pushing 80 so I’m not lifting more than 25 lbs so I was able to attach to attach it to a cheap doorframe hanging bar, but I wouldn’t expect it to handle serious weight.

    Not sure.. you would need to have a pretty large bar on top to attach them to. I'm saying, because those weights will tend to move a lot back and forth, and from left to right, and they could damage what's close to them. Or even hit each other. I've stuck to just one pulley system since last year just because of that. My choice...

    not hating, but how do you call yourself a personal trainer and not know the proper way to do triceps extensions? you are supposed to stand back to do them so the resistance stays on the muscle. most people just imitate what they see others doing, and stand there pushing the weight straight up and down, which is incorrect

  • @modernsapien8327

    @modernsapien8327

    3 жыл бұрын

    I’m certified by the American Counsel on Exercise and I have years of experience. That’s why I can call myself a personal trainer. In regards to your statements on proper form, what matters most is whether or not you are actually working the triceps. All of us have different leverages so this will vary a little person to person. The second thing is that this pulley system isn’t custom made for me or my rack so I have to position myself in a way that allows the movement pattern to work my triceps. How can you know if my positioning is or isn’t putting pressure on my triceps 🤔 Explain please 🧐
