I wanna be a seal but I'm scared I'm not going to be one because my dad will not let me do any outside activities I was in wrestling he made me quit and I cant swim I'm so scared to join.

This made me nearly cry. My grandparents were both in the Navy during WW2. My grandfather was and Airplane mechanic and he also calculated the trajectory of rockets during ww2. My Grandmother was a Japanese Code breaker and was part of the Waves. Sadly neither of them are alive today but I lived with my grandfather for the last few years of his life and I wrote down and made audio recordings of him talking about his life and his service in the Navy. Ive started compiling it into a book and hope to publish it someday.

Sadly Bill passed away less than a month after his 94th birthday, on May 13th. Gone but not forgotten. For those of you interested in his story, you absolutely must look into his book "Before They Were SEALS They Were Frogs." Let's keep this hero's legacy alive so that we may never forget the sacrifices that he and his comrades made. There is a reason these men are referred to as the "greatest generation"

Noel Ruiz all due respect to him, but it Isn’t realistic because how old and slow of speech he’s gotten. I am fascinated by the job people like the frogmen had with going behind enemy lines and blowing stuff up, especially during the biggest and most sophisticated war in history. A seal like unit called SOG was formed during Vietnam and jocko recently interviewed two of their members in multiple parts.

I prefer to thank them for their sacrifice instead of saying service... and then I always say “never forget, never forgotten”. Never forget why we are fighting (9/11 and other attacks) and never forget the fallen who sacrificed all for our freedom and security. All sacrificed some, some sacrificed all.

They still have the memorial in Waimanalo. HooRah Sir!

He still tough at 94. My grandpa was in second wave in omaha beach on d-day thompson submachine gunner. He fought to st. lo france and into germany one purple heart he survived and returned to america to work as an exec in the 50's and 60's. When americans look back most of us have nostalgia for that time in the world. Salute.

The Navy Seal museum is in Ft Pierce on the treasure coast of Florida on Route A1A by the ocean that's where they trained during WW 2 , a lot of artifacts , pictures etc , I really enjoyed my visit.

Nope. He's not a Navy SEAL. He's a UDT, Underwater Demolition Team. Navy SEAL was formed during the Vietnam War. But, they are the forerunners of the Navy SEAL.
