heath was one of the most amazing actors EVER. you see him as the joker and you're just speechless. i have never seen such a fantastic performance in any movie. and i watch a lot of movies! ;-) when i heard of his death, i was so shocked and sad. i still am. it's always the wrong people who die young. :-( rest in peace, heath, i will never forget you... you deeply touched my soul with your acting. to me, you were a gift, you were such a sweet person. i wish there were more people like you were.

Saw Letterman 8 yrs prior to this when he just started his fame. He was innocent, shy and sensitive. He was too fragile for Hollywood. It is such a tragedy. Watching this was very painful.

In my opinion Heath Ledger was (and always will be) the greatest actor ever. I am in love with him! Even if he is gone, he can never be forgotten. It's a shame that he is not here with us now but he is in a better place. Everyone has a different view on how he had died but people that are slamming him, please just leave him alone and let him rest in peace. I love you Heath Ledger. Rest in peace. -3

I can tell you exactly when because he literally bumped into me on his way to this interview,at the Regency Hotel on Park Avenue in NY. (My son is Zach Mills and we were there to do press for Magorium's). It was Monday Nov 12th. Not long before he tragically died. Heath was very thin as you can see and moving fast to avoid the autograph hounds that were yelling for him as he rushed by. We were so excited to get a glimpse of him. What a tragic loss.

Heath was such an amazing actor, i watch his stuff every so often still. His eyes were always filled with such emotion wether it was happiness or he was sad, and dont get me started on the smile, thoes adorable little lines he gets at the side of his mouth! uh they make me melt! Rest in Peace

i'm very sorry that stuff which has been 4 health actually killed such a wonderful actor. :( Be careful with chemical medicaments, many are unnessesary and have large side effects. Please inform yourself so things like that doesnt happen....

It's sad and pathetic that a lot of people ONLY know him because of his portrayal of the Joker.

I watched the other portion when he speaks about his role with Joker and the Dark Knight. My first impression of him was wow, he's really fidgety. Almost reminds me of Johnny Depp. But if you see him, and watch his movements and speach, it's not the same as his previous interviews. It's as if most have said, he was in a different state of mind. He really took it to the next level, but I wish we could've seen more of him, I wish smoeone would've helped him before he died.

They are saying that the Joker Character is what killed him. He went to such a dark place that he needed meds to help get him out of it, and then he overdosed on the meds by accident. I loved his acting too, it's terrible that he's dead.

Ive had anxiety problems since 05 I could tell he was going through it I know how bad anxiety can be you gotta fight it has to be worse when millions of people know who you are and are watching fame can overwhelm the shit out of a person

It's silly to say the drug overdose was "accidental", of course it was, every overdose is accidental, especially ones that cause death. If you overdosed, you took more than the amount you intended to. If you "intended" to die, thats an intentional dose, not an overdose. So really that statement doesn't say anything. Its just a friendlier way to avoid the context of his addiction that caused the death.

I think this interview in particular reveals Heaths tiredness of life. Of course he is on medicine, for Gods sake. When you look at his eyes you will notice a slight look of 'what am I doing here'. One should understand and realize the actual situation of an actor- you have to give interviews to many people from whom not all are as happy and chilled as this guy. Eventually you can get the feeling of 'i want to go home and sleep, damn it'. R.I.P Heath !!!
