I loved this movie as a kid. I though it was so great and yes. It does poked fun of 80 and 90 action movies and heroes

And the soundtrack was badass. 😂 That cd is still in my cd case.... somewhere in storage 😂

still remember seeing this in theaters at 5 years old. loved it then and still love it. very underrated movie !!!!

It's still so good!

I've loved this movie since seeing it in theater on opening weekend! It was a masterpiece of fun, action and absolute satire, all in one fantastic movie. Maybe the magic ticket thing was far fetched but no more so than every other fantasy, sci fi or comic book movie! A fabric ride of action & comedy. Perhaps misunderstood, but a Perfect movie for its time!

Well I wasn't a kid when it came out, and I still loved it. One of his best I think

The critics just don’t get it when it comes to this movie

This film was absolutely ahead of its time! I put it right up there with predator and and T2 for best Arnie movies! Plus Charles Dance is just (chefs kiss) in this as the villain!

It had an awesome sound track too

It also released around the time as Jurassic Park, which also contributed to its failure. It hand to contend with that titan.

May have even been the same day! I remember that. But I saw Last Action Hero in theater and loved it then and ever since. And I've still never seen Jurassic Park! Lol

If you think about it most of arnold's movies have held up extremely well today

I didn't watch it in the 90s. It was a meme before memes. Having seen it. It is quite good.

One of the best movies for me

I, too, don't understand the film was hated. It's like the critics at the time didn't understand the point of the film as it was purposely a zacy spoof on the over the top action films of the late 80s and early 90s. Especially the films Arnold himself starred in. And the film asked what if a film buff had the power to enter into these films. A fantasy I personally take to heart since I was a boy.

I’ve been using that “ want to be a fahma?… here’s a couple of acre’s” line for many years . I love Last Action Hero . Saw it in the theatre in ‘93 I believe .

Rewatched it like a year or two ago. I still think it’s great.

I remember feeling that it was a little too heavy on the self-referential moments. Kinda like the person who points out plot holes and continuity errors nonstop.

I think this movie might need to be considered for a remake/reboot.

The soundtrack has 2 Alice In Chains original songs on it.

It was good

One may say the same about Demolition Man. It was presented as a good vs evil cop movie that actually was good as evil in a not to distant future where pc culture is law and the class system has led to a utopian society where the have nots are shunned to lived out of sight and u Def ground fighting to eat and survive.

Too many "movie world" things happen when they get to the "real world". Critics were correct. It doesn't buy into it's own premise.

@@peterrealar2.067 I was thinking of that cinematic showdown with the bad guy on the roof with slow motion etc. That scene is supposed to be in the real world. The real world doesn’t have slow motion.
