I believe Bosch is discontinuing the red lasers, the new one (GLL3-330CG) is green, should be equal to the Dovoh or pretty much any other green laser, the power is regulated so it's likely they all have the same output.

On Amazon, I bought an Ommo green 4 plane (2 vertical and 2 horizontal) 360 degree laser level for $70. Soft, but no hard case. Two rechrechargea li-ion batteries that have round barrel connectors, so you can use one while charging the other. Remote contol, so you don't have to disturb it once you get it set where you want. Various mounts, 100 ft claimed range. Like many Chinese products, the internal electronics are likely the same, so I see no reason to buy more expensive brand names, except for maybe an outdoor rotary for site grading in daylight. I've been meaning to take it out at night to see how far I can still discern the line, so I could do grading at night. I am just a DIYer, so ruggedness is not a must. Like you said, you should be handling them gently no matter what the advertised ruggedness.
