Note: I played an early demo build of this last year but the full game has now been released! The video contains all the narrative and boss battles but I've edited out some of the platforming sections (where there are no monsters around) for the sake of brevity.

They wasn't any incentive to keep following him yet, bet he would've given chase if the 3 months pay was offered earlier.

I really like the simplicity of the plot, puzzles and characters and not putting much emphasis on "this will be a traumatic event for this character" I mean yeah probably it will be but seeing Jon just be a helpful and kind person is enough of a characterization for me, it keeps that feel of the game set in a gameboy

I feel the same. The simplicity of the game adds the the charm, and it's a refreshing experience with the pixel-ised graphics, straightforward plot and characters. If other games with heavy topics were emotionally draining, It feels as though this game allows for an emotional recharge.

Games with a starting premise of "I don't have cell service" make me want remind everyone that 911 ALWAYS WORKS, even if you don't have cell service 911 uses any nearby cellular network. Use this to prevent horror movie scenarios...or death during actual real life emergency situations

Those back-up services rely on radio, not cell frequencies, which is why you can get 911 in more remote, wilderness areas It doesn't mean it works 'everywhere' tho - you will *still* need a receptive signal

Saved three souls, stopped a cult from gaining power, and permanently put down the Demon under The Mountain. Not bad for guy fresh off Second Shift "Lasagna Boy".

You know, there is something nice about a game that started as mere mimic of Gorefield game has evolved into it's own game fully, without ever really discarding what it was.

"Gilda's cage" is a pretty funny bit of wordplay.

A lot of the names in the game are made from the letters in Garfield, and the second to last boss is a demonic cat. He's not there but he definitely inspired the game and it's not an influence that they tried to hide. Don't know much of the story of the game's development though, was it supposed to be about Gorefield at the start or something?

I’m in love with these whole gorefield series of games. I think this one definitely tops the classic lasagna boy game. Unlike the classic one this one has a good story, and good music, and it’s not boring!

Seeing a happy ending is such a pleasant surprise! Developers these days only wanna make bittersweet and sad endings.

Bought the game. Don't even plan on playing it, but I had such a good time watching you play it that I felt compelled.

23:49 I am amazed by how buff these cultists are. Never know when you work for an otherworld being, you'll get a muscular body.

I would watch a live-action movie of this. Half scooby doo mystery puzzle solving, half "in the mouth of madness."

I remember watching you play the demo last year, I have to say, I'm very surprised how well the game turned out, I mean is simplistic, BUT that is the beauty of the game, the dialogues are simple BUT very effective, the style and expressions (yes the simple picture of the face of the character) and the rare occasional animation like in the end, makes you feel is worth to continue and play until the very end, and the music, is not the best but manages to do its purpose in each situation. Really amazed of the good work here, because only moving around and the animation and effective simplicity used here, a really good job!

This looks so much better than the demo. It looks beautiful and so clean. Amazing man, amazing.

Oh this is Much better than the previous versions i saw on ABG, these felt so cheesy with just that 'oooeehhh scawy lovecraftian monsta' non scary background boss and all everywhere. This actually seems more interesting.

The new doom game is looking great.

I was started to watch this channel from first version of Lasagna Boy (when game was in a house, not in castle), so it feels like end of great ABG saga. I hope it's not even started. Your content is pretty good. UPD: Holy crap, where I can find Holy Shotgun of Light?

I like how the music in the early game sounds like something off of the DS. Something along the likes of Professor Layton. It makes me really nostalgic.

Well, it's nice to see this get completed after finally becoming its own game given how many projects--most of them really--just outright die without getting finished.

Lol, I was way too invested in that charming romance, it's a very well done story.

I know it’s supposed to be about Lovecraftian Garfield, but the only things related to that is the main character’s name is Jon, Lasagna is mentioned, and a cat is one of the bosses, not the final boss, it’s not the demon itself, the cat’s name isn’t even Garfield.

There are a few nods to the original (Jon, lasagna, cat-monster) but for the remake the dev was keen to get away from the Garfield/Gorefield lore and create a game that stands on its own merits.

@@growing_animator I absolutely love Lumpy Touch, but you're being a bit hypocritical to say that this game can't be inspired by his work when the vast majority of Lumpy Touch's work is inspired by other peoples' work. Ever heard of GARFIELD??? I'm pretty sure Lumpy would be happy that this game exists and that it was inspired by his work. There's even a special thanks to him in the end credits.

The ending had a very strong "And that's how I met your mother, kids" vibe

A lot of work was put into this and it really shows

Oh, thank you a lot for this playthrough! I am not a fan of such a genre of games, but it was such a simple and cute story (with some good humour) that it would be such a shame to miss it!

You didn't have to go sicko mode on these puzzles but you did it for us.

Super fun looking game. Great one even. Bosses seem to be line “shoot up and avoid” but It doesn’t really matter that much. The team deserves some more recognition for sure. I’m going to buy it despite I have just watched the whole thing. Awesome stuff.

Holy shit did this came capture Eldritch so perfectly in every aspect. That final Moloch fight was gorgeous as well as terrifying with every phase the demon turned into.

It’s kinda refreshing. Most horror games just let you observe how scared the characters are, even though you’re not.
