I know exactly what Conan means, they really have painted themselves into a pretty dark corner. Like, the initial premise of the show of "assassin accidently sits in on an acting class and now wants to become a full-time actor" was just absurd comedy gold, but the actual ramifications of Barry's behaviour necessarily lead down an increasingly dark path to where we're at a point now where the show has become more and more depressing (but not bad). Very excited for the finale.

You're spot on. I feel the same way with Succession and Yellowstone. They aren't series that could hold up for 6-10 years because of how rapidly things went from light to dark. Succession feels right ending at 4 seasons, I think this fall will be the end of Yellowstone (not counting the prequels and spinoffs). Barry is/was the right amount of seasons as well.

@@jasoncanady7055 It feels to me like 4-6 seasons is the sweet spot for a good TV show. Unless it's based on a pre-established series of books (looking at you, Game of Thrones) there's no need for it to go on longer. Part of what makes a story good is that it has an ending.

I would LOVE to see a whole episode of Benet's by Mitch, where people come in, bitch about stuff, Mitch gives his advice, and they don't take it. Just a full hour of people going over their problems, cut away to the recreations of issues or incidents, and then mitch giving advice, and at the end, just text recaps of each person, they didn't take advice, and what happens to them.

This season has been rocky for sure.. started off okay but the whole flash forwards are weird and ackward, rushed. Also the dude hitting the house with the car. Its hard to tell what is imaginary and what is real which makes it annoying to me.

@@devinmichaelroberts9954 yeah not to be rude but its very easy to differentiate the surreal and real stuff in my opinion the absurdism and surrealism clash to create a perfect balance of Dark drama and comedy season 4 is amazing both it and season 3 are best of the show the time jump didn't really ruin anything everything that happened between the 8 year time skip doesn't matter but it's ur opinion I guess so salute

2 things you can always count on with these uploads: It’s going to be hilarious because Conan and the Chill Chums are the best and he does some great interviews People will complain about not getting full episodes in the comments even though they have no idea how much work it would be to film and edit 4 separate people on at least 5 cameras over the course of a full episode and put it up on KZread for pennies

oh yea, Conan definitely does this for his own enjoyment and to showcase the skills and passions of his showbiz colleagues. The way they talk shop about the world they live in is something that I've just never thought of before, but to see them interact in real life makes a lot of sense to me now and it's both funny and fascinating to have a peek at it from the inside perspective. It's like when I find a tech nerd and we talk about the our industry or the latest thing, (except nobody around us has any clue what we're talking about,) but from a comedic entertainment industry background instead. The Always Sunny Podcast is another great one for that too.
