  • @arthurmorgan2887

    @arthurmorgan2887

    Well, they're idle hunters, not competitive one. They bit their prey, lets it run if they escape, and slowly track their prey down while the said prey is slowly dying out of bloodloss and the rotting venom. By the time their prey died, they would arrive and eat the carcass. Life is calm for them because it's a sure ending, that's why they're composed. Unlike other predators like bears, tigers, lions, and others who had to hunt their food competitively to live another day and if that food escape, that means more energy has to be expended in search for a new prey.

    I live in Indonesia, because I live on the outskirts of the city with a large population of lizards, so when we were little we used to catch monitor lizards for money, sometimes 1 adult monitor lizard costs around 30 thousand rupiah or about 2 US dollars. . . This animal is similar to the Komodo dragon but is small in size. The tail often whips a whip to defend itself.

    As long as you keep a level of calmness and respect around any large animal that might eat you, it definitely limits the chances of you getting mauled. But these lizards have killed and eaten people, and likely will do again. The number is small, 24 reported attacks, 5 fatalities over nearly 50 years, but that's only due to their small, localised population.

    If you get a mad one and get too close they can run bloody fast. They run faster than I can and that is what scares me.

    Komodo are more close to adult caymens in size. Either way, they are the only living species that scientists classify as a dinosaur because it’s the only living ancestor of dinosaurs that is large enough to be classified as a megafauna.

    All lizards and crocs and gators too have their legs splayed out to the side which is the opposite of the dinosaurs which had their legs directly underneath their bodies.

    This is the only animal in the world that frightens me. At least those spooky deep sea creatures are mostly harmless to humans. This thing can swim, run, swallow prey whole, and it has a potent venomous bite. You could maybe survive a lion attack with little chance, but if one of these chomps you a single time then you're dead. Not to say they aren't cool tho

    js valino No, birds descended from dinosaurs. Dinosaurs that were too large during the Kt mass extinction died from hunger. Smaller ones needed less food, lived on and became birds.

    SMS2020 Gunnar S No. Niether did dinosaurs look like lizards. Also, dinosaurs totally could've possesed both. Even the modern day ostrich has scales. Feathers are modified scales that have been shaped differently throughout the years for different purposes. (I.E flying feathers or feathers that serve as a coat to keep warm)
