I love this style of Temple. When I travel in Thailand the most beautiful buildings are the temples so I visit them daily for peace and beauty. Most churches don't have that effect on me and I think the divine should be given the most beautiful architecture in the world to uplift us.

This types of temples are build by mighty chola Dynasty in Thailand and South India I love it...

My son is an architect, and early on in his career he did a lot of church (Christian) design. Easy, relatively simple, he liked it. But nothing compared to this challenge! Looks magnificent. I wish our Hindu friends and neighbors only the best. Wonderful having you folks in the States.

It's Nagara style architecture of ancient India, there are 3 main type of Temple building architecture in India (Nagara, Dravida and Vesara) and several minor depends on the geography of India. Temple like this are build like jigsaw puzzle with no metal parts hence have a long life of 1000s of years. It's how our ancestors build the ancient structures and we continue to practice it even today.

My dad did a lot of the wiring for the temple, he also wired the crane they used to build it, was the largest crane on the east coast at the time

I live in New Jersey right outside Philly. (literally right over the bridge) I have always found such beauty,wonder, and amazement in hindu temples, as well as their stories, and culture. I have to visit this. Im disabled so a simple, small trip is a lot. But this, this looks well worth it..

This temple is a combination of Ancient and Modern Architecture. Cleanliness is the hallmark of this temple. Sculptures in miniature style is remarkable.

I'm not Hindu, but as an American it makes me happy that my country has become a second home to so many people of India, and so much so that they built this magnificent temple. Peace and love to all.

It's one of our 1000s of years of Tradition. These temples will last for 1000s of years like our ancient temples and other stone megaliths of ancient civilizations. Unlike other civilizations we kept our culture alive and these temples are built according to the scriptures like Agamas and Vastushastra.

Though not Hindu, I think Advaita Vedanta is correct... what today people are calling "non-duality". That place is beautiful. I'd definitely make a trip there for a number of reasons aesthetic and existential!

@@nsbd90now the concepts , of vedanta comes from the Upanishads, it talks about the formless , god called as 'bramha' or parmatma, while the hinduism you see today comes from purana, full of mythical. Stories without philosophy, and idol worship

It took 12 years to construct these temples. This architecture is called Nagara Style practiced in Northern India. Hindus have ancient culture that are practised today without breaking, like ancient Mayans or Egyptians. The sages wrote everything down on how to build temples in various scriptures like Vastushastra, Agamas etc. We have followed these scriptures for thousands of years and continue to do so.

@@jimmcconnell7328 welcome🙏, there are 3 major architecture styles in India 1 Nagara (practiced in Northern India) checkout Modera Sun Temple, or Kajuraho Temple. 2 Dravida (southern India) checkout Padmanabha Swamy Temple 3 Vesara (combination of these 2) checkout Hoysaleswara and Chennakeshava Temples. Apart from these 3 there are several other styles which employ wood also both Wood and rock in the Mountain Areas like the Himalayas. During ancient times when the Kings of India travelled to Southeast Asia these techniques spread along with the Indian religions like Hinduism and Buddhism.
