I started watching your videos last year December cos I broke my laptop and wanted to fix it by myself. I fixed it with guidlines from your video. In April this year, started a business inspired by videos I'd watched from Sorine. Today I have ammased not much wealth, but priceless experience. And Ive kept increasing it. Shalom from Nigeria.

A tip for applying 'AmTech' flux, on a budget... Cut a hotglue stick to about the length of the AmTech tube. Heat it up at the end. Stick it in the back of the AmTech flux tube, in the middle. The idea is to glue it to the piston only. Not to the sides. So don't push too hard and don't heat it up like you would do for a hinge repair. Let it cool and you have a nice plunger, so you can operate it as a syringe, with one hand and without having to poke it with a screwdriver.

Hi First i love all your videos and i love to repair things thanks your help i started fixing Smartphones and Laptops with good results!!! Thanks for this but like always the people want more so maybe u can make a future video about this kind of problem i will tell u !!! I have now an Acer Aspire Nitro V17 Black Edition with mainboard problems! It doesn't start and dont charge the Battery! I checked the 19v rail and the 5 v rail and also the 3.3v rail all are ok but the only one the BIOS Chip doesnet get 3.3V on pin 8 as it should by checking this i found out this rail goes to a capacitor which goes to Ground, it's not shorted and bevore the capacitor there is also a connection to the TPS65982 Chip but this Chip is just for the USB C Type jack and for PD i dont think that this chip should provide the 3.3V for the BIOS Chip and i found nothing other where this line goes to it ends at the chip i dont see whats under it!! But the next thing is can the missing 3.3V on the BIOS Chip Cause also the not Charging Battery problem??? I tried to measure the Battery with the Multimeter but i dont get any readings so maybe its dead but it should work with only PSU and it didnt and also the BIOS Battery is empty i buy a new tomorrow! But this is also not the solution!!!

I am desperately in need of help. I believe I have the same 1366x768 panel with Green colour not working but on a different (from the one in the video) HP notebook. Also I have another donor laptop which has a known to work panel of the same panel size. Even though I thought of replacing the panel myself, the connector on the motherboard is different in these two. Because as I saw on the donor laptop, the wifi antenna is also integrated with the cable that comes to the motherboard from the lid. I still have not checked the connector on the display with the bad panel, but just in case, would I be lucky if these two have similar connectors? Is it safe to plug and power on the notebook if the connector on the display fits?

This motherboard is from a kickstarter project and was made by Gigabyte and could run mac os out of the box after replacing the bios code. Some people say it is the bios chip itself that needs to be replaced. It died on me while running and after I got the backup bios loaded I could start it up again but after a week or so it died again.

I really like all your videos but I kind of get a little concerned about leaving components off. You know that if the manufacturer could have done without it they would have left it off to save cost. I would like for you to do a demonstration of the fusing wires you use to replace actual fuses. set up several strands of the wire you use for different size fuse replacement and demonstrate them carrying the proper current AND opening at the proper current. You may already have done this as I have not watched ALL your videos. I have watched a great many of them though. I appreciate all you show us! THANK YOU!

    2. Teil On the Battery i can read that it should be charged with 13V and 2.5A but i did not find a 13V PSU on the Board maybe the problem is here and its shorted or something i will follow that trace tomorrow maybe it will result in a working Laptop or maybe one of your next videos will help me out thanks for all and go on this way please!!!!!!!!!!!!! To see these small 3v lines without a microscope is verry verry difficult so i think i have better chances to fix this when my microscope arrived!!
