I have a dead mall in my city that was built in the 80s (the exact same year this came out, actually). Everyone said at the time it would fail and look what happened lol

@@stevecinneide8183 I've got a dead mall in my town as well. Creepiest thing I've ever seen...or walked through. A whole daggone mall...with 3-4 stores active in it. Completely empty with random strange people hanging about inside (not including me, lol). I can't imagine what costs the empty building is racking up...and I wonder who is paying for it.

I live in the rainy Pacific Northwest and this fragrance works very well here. Even get some compliments from ladies in their 30s (my age)

I love 80's fragrances, and still own a few. This one sounds like something I would really enjoy. Great review! 👍

Been using my 2004 50ml for a few months now and it doesn't last that long on me, but it does smell awesome. Very loud the first hour but then it settles mostly to a skin scent. I have read the current stuff is actually stronger than some of the older variations so makes sense with my bottle. Fantastic review as always!

Very fair review. I pick up incense. It’s a wall of smell. Hard to distinguish individual notes

one of the few fragrances that is guaranteed to set you apart. Even guys who grew up in the 80s don't wear it that much so nobody can complain that it is "generic".

The opening is okay, but especially after a couple of hours this one smells fantastic imo. 16 Euros for 100ml, ridiculously cheap!

One of only two men's fragrances where I've actually been stopped by women in the street to ask, "what is that wonderful aftershave?" I think that says all that needs saying.

Sjaak De Vries that would fill the room for hours and this scent sticks to material very well so I’m sure that is a good idea !

I’m late to the party both on this review and on this fragrance. I missed this one when I was buying aramis pack rabanne polo and launder for men in the 80’s. I got a decant of this and at first try didn’t like it. After a few wearings I totally enjoy it and will buy a full bottle. I had same experience with Kouros. Kellen have you ever tried Oscar de la Renta Pour Lui ?

In regard to ted Lapidus there are a very cheap alternative it call Al rehab Lord Roll on 6 ML oil which cost just a few Dollars later.

Lapidus PH. A frag from the 80's with a bottle designed in the 60's 😂😂 But what a great fragrance it is😀 And again, spot on with your assessment.

I got this one today and it is probably the strongest scent I’ve smelled. Even outside, people can smell you from 2 yards away. Good to get noticed while people are wearing face masks.

Just tried a spritz in a department store today. My nose picks up lavender, honey and incense the most, followed by the florals and woods. Definitely smells retro, almost like a really nice high end bathroom air freshener if that makes sense.... Idk why but it makes me picture a Miami Vice-esque setting, a slightly sweaty mucho man with his 3rd shirt button unbuttoned with his chest hairs showing.lol Thanks for the reviews. I can’t wait to break this scent out, that’s cool it’s actually at a department store, in the USA this is only available online. It has that’s pure 80’s vibe so that’s probably what makes you think of Vice lol

I have two vintage bottles of this stuff, One 100 ml splash bottle from the early 90's i believe and one 30 ml spray also from the early 90's, the smell is só good, but i don't find it similar to kouros

Am I the only one who thinks the bottle looks like Nakitomi Plaza from Die Hard??!! 😁Awesome awesome scent and review!!!!!

I sampled this one today and knew right away it would be up your alley, K. I see the appeal, but it's not my cup of tea, though it is sort of like an 80s version of Gucci Guilty, which I love.

I enjoy lapidus pour Homme but it’s just to hot for this one and I don’t say that often about fragrances I like I usually wear them whenever but this one is very heavy

The 82% vol batch is the best..really beast mode..even if you spray on your hands and you wash them a few times...you still smell the fragrance..:)

Hello! Does it smell a lot like Boss Number One (nauseous to me)?

How sweet is this fragrance? I'm thinking of buying it but can only handle a little bit of sweet.

Hope this gets to you as this review is from '19 :) I'm down with this frag as well - you mention there's an anamalic component (civet?) in a comment below. I do get honey/floral, but not in a really fresh way. It's borderline off-putting IMO. Is that the animalic part ? Thanks!!

It has got a slight anamalic vibe but it’s musky and the honey adds to that, I love the scent but I like Kouros much better over all. Give it some time you might come around on it. Thank you for watching and commenting Tony !

TLPH to my amateurish nose is a masterpiece, it is a "male rose+incense" scent. Definitely a potential signature. With that being said however, I fall in love with this fragrance every time I sample it, but never pull the trigger to buy a bottle!

I remembered it, had forgot about it, it's ultra cheap, an animalic woody musk bomb or stuff. It's on my shopping list, i can find it for around 20 bucks here in Mexico

I enjoy getting the full body line as well, let’s see as far as easily available classic men’s fragrance deodorant sprays, Drakkar noir ! Polo green, Lomani pour Homme, Acqua Di parma colonia, a few sites have harder to find ones like Enrico Coveri pour Homme, and Borsalino. I have Paco rabanne pour Homme too & kouros. Yeah I agree, I wish I was around in the heyday of all these powerhouse fragrances from the 70’s and 80’s but wearing them now might make them stand out even more, they really are just so much more interesting than the current scents.

Is a vintage jewel for low price amazing

I have this and people said it had a pineapple smell but I think it smells really bad like a old man smell not saying all old people smell but mine smells really bad don’t know if mine gone of or something but it’s doesn’t smell fruity at all

Pineapple is a note in Lapidus Pour Homme but it does not smell fruity much at all, very old school, masculine and a bit anamalic, it’s such a great scent I think. Thank you for watching and commenting dude

Have you tried Mancera Black to Black? That is THE most beastly performer in my collection. An absolute MONSTER!!! It's dark, mysterious, just wow!!! Projects like a beast too😷😷

If you have trouble finding it stateside, it's still available here: www.perfumenz.co.nz/products/black-to-black-by-mancera-120ml-edp (they do ship to USA but shipping costs I don't know sorry) Bottle is 134.99 which is about 85-90 USD Also, have you tried Jacomo de Jacomo Rouge? I was wondering how that compares to the original. You know what? I'm gonna buy it and find out, ha ha :D

I like these 80s fragrances , Im not a fan of the mostly unisex fragrances of today.. Fragrances for men nowadays are not masculine like they used to be..

I bet at one point Lapidus had a deodorant spray, if you get “America Night” it’s a great clone of lapidus pour Homme and they have a cologne with atomizers that sprays like deodorant as well as an actual deodorant spray for this scent as well and again it’s identical to Lapidus pour Homme

Could be initially upon spraying it, you sort of get the pineapple but mostly from what I remember about Lapidus is the honey note. That’s very strong. Not a bad buy for 15$. Thank you for watching and commenting dude !

Bahtiyar World so I understand, do I know what lapidus black smells like ? ...I only own Lapidus Pour Homme which is amazing and smells like I described very fresh powdery strong like a locker room deodorant, sport is very floral mixed with cool water. I have not tried any of the other flankers to Lapidus aside from sport. But once again the original is the best by far !

Fahrenheit is garbage!

I scooped up a 50ml vintage of this since you can't find 50s anymore of the modern ( 100ml wouldn't fit in my cabinet next to my kouros lol ) I'll update my thoughts when it arrives.
