07-25-22 San Fernando Police Department received a call about 9:30 P.M 11500 block of Norris Ave were a victim was shot in the head and the suspect fled the scene towards Degarmo Ave and Vaughn St. LAPD shut down the intersections for traffic and pedestrian and started their search by using K-9 units. The perimeter was set to try to apprehend the suspect who was reported jumping fences. A report on the scanner came up mentioning the suspect was in custody and the helicopter assisting officers on the ground left the scene and was called back to the scene. Once the helicopter came back to the scene he made short and fast orbits around the property he was last seen. About 1:25 A.M LAPD brought the allege suspect to the homicide detectives for interview as he could have been the wrong suspect. He was mentioned as a young man who was captured at Catherine Dorothea Crouch Education Center at 13333 Vaughn St. No further information was released regarding the victim that was shot at the time of the footage as it was an ongoing investigation.
