Selling out shows from LA to London, Daniel Goldstein aka Lane 8 marked himself out as one of electronic music’s rising stars in 2015 with the release of his acclaimed debut album ‘Rise’ on Anjunadeep. Highly praised by The New York Times, Hype Machine, Mixmag, The Fader and The Metro, and supported by global tastemakers Annie Mac, Jason Bentley and Pete Tong, Lane 8’s diverse sound connected with audiences across the board.
Casting new light on the songs and musicality at its heart, ‘Rise (Live & In Session)’ collates live and session recordings of five tracks from the album, recorded with collaborators Solomon Grey and Lulu James and featuring live keys and arrangement from Daniel himself.
Album opener ‘Loving You’ appears as an ‘In Session’ performance with original vocalist and Jon Hopkins collaborator Lulu James.
Long-time collaborators Solomon Grey return on of ‘Diamonds’ and ‘Hot As You Want’, taken from the popular ‘In Session’ videos debuted last year, originally premiered by Fact Magazine.
Closing the EP is a recorded live rendition of ‘Hot As You Want’ and a Solomon Grey-sung live cover of ‘Loving You’, both taken from an intimate Lane 8 live show at Peckham Liberal Club in London.

those 21 people people should be named. Who are you and how are you not entertained. Solomon's voice is one of the smoothest sounds on the planet. Lane 8 playing Live? Please don't breed, thumbs downers. Your kind is impossible.

It's not about "selling out". Lane 8 is in a niche with about 1000 other similar producers. There's just too many electronic producers around - that's why him and Solomon Grey aren't "at the top". Because electronic music (vocal or otherwise) already has its own niche, where they are quite well-known.

You should check out Ludovico Einaudi and especially his song, "Una Mattina". He plays with such emotion and passion. He doesn't sing, though. Just composes music.

Last night they opened for Above & Beyond at the Berkeley Greek Theater. The guy has an incredible voice. The music was very soothing and they were very humble and nice to the crowd.

Oh man, when Lane 8 finishes his "This Never Happened" tour they need to meet up again and do a little tour or a few shows like this. So much emotion and energy, it keeps me coming back for more! Nothing but magic between these two!
Lane 8 made me realize that I can really hear vibration in music this is a form of communication from ones soul thats why music and art separate themselves from reality cause there not from this reality closest thing from heaven to earth... God bless lane 8 for bringing us to higher vibrations in love thankyou 🙏

I met Solomon after a performance..He was looking for toilets behind the stage and I was looking for him. We both found what we looked for. Novelty leads to real humbleness.

Loving You touches my soul when sung by Solomon. So primal. The softness and depth to his voice is like a wolf calling. Incredibly beautiful.
