Announcing themselves earlier this year with the “Next Planet EP", the mysterious Cubicolor are rapidly making a name for themselves. Pete Tong named them as one of the hottest acts to watch in the next 12 months, and the “Got This Feeling EP” shows exactly why.
Featured on Anjunadeep 06, title track “Got This Feeling” is an anthem in the best sense of the word; catchy but classy with intricate details. A chugging melodic groove and lazy percussion make way for a majestic piano breakdown and a joyous vocal loop. Anjuna regulars can finally put an ID to this one after hearing it on their Anjunadeep Edition mix earlier this year!
“Still Linger In My Dreams” is another beautiful piece of soulful and melodic dance music that shows Cubicolor at their most cinematic. Sweeping percussion combines with another gorgeous vocal loop, surrounded by deft textures and intricate production.
“A New High” sees Cubicolor show off their darker side, with a dancefloor orientated tech house weapon heard recently in Dom Donnelly’s Anjunadeep Edition mix. Energetic percussion drives the track through to a complex breakdown which builds and builds before skilfully dropping back into the flowing bass groove.

This song helps me “reset”. Whenever I get discombobulated by life, I do what I do until I return to listening to this song, and blissful regeneration ensues. May all who read this enjoy what I do
I was in a tent a night before a wedding. Feeling tired and knowing the following night would be new years eve I decided to rest. This song was playing far away and I can't believe I have finally come across this magical piece. PURE BLISS!

I remember being at one of my first Glastonbury Festivals, when I heard a track playing from about a kilometre away which seemed so enchanting to me. I didn't hear it again for a few years, but it turned out to be "Come Together" Weatherall Remix by Primal Scream. I guess it's a rare event in anyone's life these days to hear a piece of music and not to be able to immediately identify it. So when upon hearing something good, and then a long period of time elapses, one finally identifies and relistens to the music again, it's sort of a magical moment. In music can our souls soar into the heavens...
I'm glad they got a feeling and could share that feeling with us, the people.

It’s interesting how it evokes similar feelings amongst many of us. I commented that it makes me feel nostalgic, somewhat sadly but also happy to have had certain experiences. The melody has a…moving quality.
