No aconsejo este coche. La marca es premium pero solo en el precio no en la calidad.Tengo un discovery Sport del 2021 y ya me lo entregaron con un defecto de fabricación en el sistema de sonido. Todavía lo tengo pendiente de reparar ya que debido al brexit es complicado la importación de piezas de recambio. Mientras tanto la marca no da solución, solo esperar. Escoged otra marca

I don’t blame you! I traded in my Ford Explorer XLT sport package and no regrets. I love my GLB - she’s exactly what I was looking for 🥰

Definitely GLB - I have owned both cars. Just recently traded in my Discovery Sport and bought the GLB. It is such a fun car to drive. The engine is so peppy to drive. Great design and interior. You just want to keep driving. The GLb is miles apart from the Disco Sport. Disco Sport maybe better looking but that's about it.

My choice is glb 100%

I have a DS (yes with extended warranty😉) and in my opinion the 6th&7th seats are clearly just for kids..why adult reviewers get in them and then say it’s small back here is beyond me and totally pointless.

Since April this year, LRAUS have been giving a 5 yr / unlimited km Wty. This offer goes until September 30, but it seems LR Aus will make it a permanent thing. Disco Sport can do off road use, whereas the GLB is extremely limited off road. DS suspension is tuned to handle off road use, hence its suspension on road has to make some compromises, so that it can handle off road use. U can buy DS with configurable suspension adjustment if u want. 2021 MY DS here in Oz by late 2020. It will have the all new Pivi Pro multi function display, as per new Defender. No lag and a much better unit. 2021 MY DS gets updated motors will a full 48 V mild hybrid tech. No more stop / start lag etc and various other benefits. Unless u r using a DS for short city driving only, buy the DS with a diesel motor. More torque, a much better motor and a diesel gives excellent economy.

Totally agree. The GLB is a great around town vehicle. I found it made me a little nauseous and turns however, similar to the 2009 RAV4. I could see on Highway drives in this vehicle being easy to do, but it’s later weight and Shira wheelbase may not be as comfortable as other vehicles

Glb but with the AMG line where it looks way better.

I got the GLB 250 premium Plus , 190 HP , it’s returning 48.2 MPG , and 34.5 around town , ride quality and finish is far better than the Discovery ,

The glb with the night package and a better colour looks on par with the disco sport. Mercedes has better warranty and reliability

What’s missing is a bit of off-road

have test drive the GLB! most of the public trash bins made with better quality plastic than the GLB interior!

I couldn’t agree more!!! The interior in the GLB is just ridiculous... these narrow doors and seats - not what you expect from Merc

The one piece that sepearws the two and was not mentioned was the off road capability. Disco sport can take you where the GLB cannot and that’s a big advantage for an active family lifestyle.

The GLB has a very impressive off-road capability as well thanks to the smart 4matic technology. KZread it.

Its the GLB for me but wanted to know if the 1.3 turbo is ok.

I was very tempted to get the DS however after watching your review I'm leaning more towards the GLB. The extra warranty and fuel efficiency is what made me change my mind. Only down side on the GLB is that there is no spare tyre.

The Discovery Sport is more powerful, when you have to overtake, Discovery performance is better, plus Discovery sport has a spare wheel, the offroad performance of Discovery sport is class leading, Discovery is more fuel efficient too

The Discovery Sport has more presence and it's complemented by a commanding view and a superior AWD system.

The higher driving position in the DS is called a Command Driving position and it’s awesome. You mentioned the stadium seating in the Merc but forgot to mention that the DS also has stadium seating (the rear seats are physically higher than the front). Additionally the 2nd row in the DS slides forward and backward quite a few inches and also reclines however if using the third row you would want to keep it a little way forward and upright for the comfort of those in the 3rd row. Lastly because it’s a Land Rover the DS is amazing off road (I own one) and I can’t imagine the Merc is anywhere near as capable, certainly that dual clutch will be a pig off-road. 1st gear in the DS is an extra low ratio (car normally starts off in 2nd) which I’m unsure if the Merc has. The paddle shifters are fantastic in the DS especially for manually downshifting. I’ve not driven the Merc but I love how planted the DS is.

I noticed this was part of his comparison but when you actually compare his position based off the camera shots, he's actually sitting higher in the Merc - both when he mentions the command seating ppsition and when he out driving about. Take a look at his head height against the window and also the steering wheel. Not a fan of either car but just wondering where we he was measuring his position from

John Howard yes I did notice he looked much lower in the Land Rover as he was mentioning a high seating position.

Two beautiful and usefull suvs, I'm just looking for one of these. I'm a Mercedes owner but I have to say in that case I prefer Land Rover for the exterior but I think I'll never buy the Discovery cause of the bad reliability of the brand. I know some friends that have problems with their cars (Velar, Evoque, Sport..). Tell me if you agree.

I’ve had a DS for 5 years now and haven’t had a single issue- mind you mines the petrol version. It’s been a great car!

@@iangarland4290 yes but two days ago the jaguar land rover CEO has announced that cause of the bad reliability they lost 100'000 sells this year, and the 2020 was the worst year in terms of cosumers satisfaction. In 2020 land rover spends 500million for the repair of faults. That doesn't mean every vehicle is faulty but there is an high probability. On the other hand I love Range Rover I want to buy one but i don't trust, so probabily I'll take mercedes.

Are these cars even competitors? Would've never thought. Lol.

be awesome comparo between a car maker legacy ecosystem ie VW Touareg v Porsche Cayenne et Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, SEAT, Škoda.

Merc due to warranty and efficiency. Just got out of a Land Rover, the reliability and post sales support is dreadful.

I recently bought a brand new GLB in Hong Kong. The car broke down in only 12 days due to a gearbox issue and it had to sit in back to Mercedes repair center for a month. We took it back after Mercedes claimed that they have fully fixed it, however it broke down again in the middle of the road after just 6 days (with my wife who is currently 28-weeks pregnant onboard). This faulty car has only been driven for less than 500km and its still in repair center now. Due to the safety concern, i demand a full refund or replace a new car as we cannot trust this car anymore. They turned down my request and came back with a counter offered asking me to trade in the current faulty car and buy another new one from them. I was so speechless and our whole family were so disappointed as we have been supporting Mercedes for over 15 years (owned another E class previously) Think twice if you still consider Mercedes as your family car since the gearbox problem has been a major issue in the past few years, friends of mine also having problems with their Mercedes.

Refund policy in Hong Kong in comparison to Australia’s? You must be kidding. As long as, they can fix it, it shouldn’t be returned, you were just so unfortunate to have a lemon.

Disco is better looking and probably better off road!

Just purchased the GLB and love it. Got the sued with red pinstripes seating, along with 3rd row seating. The steering wheel is the best! It’s gigantic inside. Check it out♥️👍🏻

I know the GLB could go off road (I have one), and the discovery probably could because it’s a Land Rover.

GLB 250, needs to have a spare wheel, possibly a 5 seat, with spare would be good , for long country travel. So a GLE 400 for me.

I Like Disco Sport and my wife likes the GLB, guess which one I will buy....

The GLB is much smaller then the Disco. Comparsion must be GLC vs Disco.

Here Disco Sport is twice as expensive as GLB.

Love LR look and drive but I've had too many ongoing issues to do it again. Hope Mercedes is better or it's time to move away from Euro cars ☹️

My friends have some problems with LR/RR, it is the worst brand in the word in term of reliability, don't worry germans car are much better. I was looking for a Discovery sport but for this reason I think I'll not buy one. Do you think I'm right or not?

Land rover looks premium whereas Mercedes is average.

I wanted the 2020 discovery sport but ever since seeing the GLB I’m sold. I hate the discovery sport has such an outdated interior, it should match the velar and etc but then again the price point would be different I guess.

Disco looks amazing but rather have a reliable car. Glb for me.

The GLB looks like a baby when parked next to the Discovery Sport

Both will be endless money pits after warranty is over

German car is everytime better

GLB have not even close to interior soft materials in Discovery, and towing and more... Discovery is 100% better choice. Screens are not everything.

Don’t forget that reliability is an important factor that, in general, doesn’t apply to English cars! 😬

The Mercedes is more reliable

If you saying Merc you have probably not owned one in recent years. Forget the hey days of German build quality. Poor finish, disappointing engines seem to be the norm now.

Mercedes infotainment system is a lot better than the landrovers, and in terms of reliability in the uk at least they are more reliable . The reliability of range/landrover and Jaguars are rubbish

Both of these cars is 5+2 so if you only planning to put kids or occasional use of third row, then this is good. Easier to park than the big 7 seater like the Discovery.

The Mercedes Benz glb wins hands down.

You didn’t mention anything about off road capabilities. If you want to go off road, drive in snow/floods, then only one choice here - the Discovery Sport.

The GLB is also good off-road. It even has an off-road mode. I know because I have a GLB.

GLB is a brand new model & has a better drive dynamics, it's utterly more compelling than DS
