LAND OF THE LOST 🌟 THEN AND NOW 2021
Rick Marshall is the patriarch, an incredibly protective and devoted father to Will and Holly. He was a forest ranger and led with messages of unity and taking the necessary precautions. And when Rick fell through a time doorway and exited the program after Season 2, the show suffered.
One of Milligan’s first roles was in the 1973 Woody ALlen film, Sleeper. But everyone knows him from Land of the Lost. The reason behind his departure. Of course it was money. All kinds of show branded merchandise was being sold, including lunch boxes and compasses, you name it. And Milligan thought it was only fair that they see some of that yield.
We later saw Milligan in 4 episodes of the Jack Klugman-led show, Quincy M.E. in the early 80s. ] But his career never really left that pre-historic wonderland.

When the open casting call went out, Kathy's mom dressed her in the pig tails, red plaid shirt and jeans for the interview. As hopefuls were eliminated, Kathy's mom kept her dressed the exact same way for all follow up interviews thinking this was the best way for the show's producers to remember Kathy. When Kathy got the part, the producers kept her in her interview look for the show too.

This show was amazing. It had concepts involving extra dimensions, time travel, the insides of buildings being bigger than the outsides (the Pylons), aliens made of light, and so much more. Sid and Marty Krofft really outdid themselves. This was so different than their usual simplistic shows (Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, H. R. Puffinstuff, The Buggaloos, etc). I loved Land of the Lost for being the most imaginative children's show ever. Ever... :)
