I always loved how when Pufnstuf needed his arms outside of the head, he would have to jump, jog or move up and down whilst he talked so the weighted jaw would look like he's talking whilst he uses his arms as arms. As opposed to the fakecarms and the puppeteer using his own to make him talk. Quite fascinating how they really worked those costumes.

My mother HATED this show! But she said I LOVED it since I was 2!😅

I dreamed about this last night.

Try explaing to today's kids about a birthday party with your best friend, a talking flute, spills the beans on it being your birthday just so a giant anthropomorphic talking lizard can keep saving the day through thwarting the Living Island witch from once again stealing said flute. Even though she did a pretty masterful attempt at mimicking 3 Lemons laying down Jive with laughing gas. Yup, Don't think the kid would see me the same.

I never understood what was so special about the flute. All it could do was talk like everything else.
