I think what Lana is trying to express here, especially with the use of the How to disappear sample, is that she proved herself wrong. The final lines of How to disappear go “I’m always going to be right here.” She continues the story in this song, describing how she actually came to escape L.A. and the lifestyle that was becoming toxic to her. “Calabasas/cameras flashing.” And now, people will no longer love her for her fame and success “I’m not a star.” Rather, they’ll love her for who she is. “If they love me, they love me because I’m wild at heart.” Just my take.

I think it's also metaphoric. Cameras (the fame and the eye of the public constantly watching and following her) cause her problems in her personal life, mental health, constant judging and misunderstanding (in a metaphor of a car crash).

Lana's music has always been top tier, but something about this album feels more fresh. Same Lana but more experimental. I'm digging it!
