I am the eldest child of a broken family. Ever since my parent's separation, I have been living on my own. I still support my younger siblings financially and emotionally though. But their separation... it just changed everything for me. I have been feeling like I am merely wandering in this planet, without any home to go to. Without a family to embrace after a long, hard day. I have been feeling like I was meant to be alone in this cold, cold universe. But Lana taught me that it's okay. That it's okay to feel like that. That is why I love Lana del Rey. Because she always reminds me that it is okay to be on the road, living life without the notion of permanence. Sometimes, people find meaning on the road. Sometimes, people find family in the faces of strangers and friends. When home leaves, the road becomes your refuge. I am very thankful for living in the same generation as Lana because I get to experience healing through her music. Right now, I am starting to accept life as it is. My bachelor's degree is almost at my reach. And I am enjoying every piece of the journey, through thicks and thins.

storytime: ive always had really bad anxiety and when i was in 5th grade, it was so bad that i would cry every morning when i got to school. one of the teachers saw me having an anxiety attack on the first day of school and she brought me in her room to talk about it. she ended up giving me a necklace that she wore everyday that said, "not all who wander are lost -jrr tolkien" and she let me wear her necklace every day. and now i have this song and its beautiful.

Give Bel Air a listen. It's the same x 10,000. Like lying in a bed of roses. Like walking through the forest in a flowy dress hearing nature sing to you with the fog hugging you. It's nirvana.

This song really hits home for me. I was living with an abusive drug dealing boyfriend in a tent and when I told him I was worried my family is scared for me, he'd tell me "not all of those who wander are lost." This makes me think of the dark time when I was brainwashed to believe that my destructive and deadly drug addiction and my abusive relationship was just wanderlust. I was truly lost, but he convinced me I was just wandering in an adventure. I was treated like a God by him, but he was killing me the entire time.

I feel like this song with Yosemite encapsulates what this album is ultimately and the vibe it gives off. It’s just so folky and reminds me of the Midwest
