Nobody’s talking about how strong she is to sing this emotional of a song to a crowd!

Pretty sure Lana is one of those artists who sing their songs differently live everytime. Regardless of whether they rehearsed it that way or not, which may be the reason her voice sounds 'off' to people. I however love this. What would be the point of going to her show if she sang the same way every time.

Ridiculously beautiful in this video. A real angel.

Most artists use Auto-tune and playback while "performing". Lana doesn't. She is one of the most down to earth artist. She's gorgeous and she loves her fans more then anything. So stop judging how she sounds while live, its hard singing in front of people. Especially when you're shy.

Except most don't, that's why it's such awesome thing to see people sound exactly the same live as they do on the record. 99% of musicians will sound better on the record, and there's nothing wrong with that. She is just not a performer, she can sing on pitch, just not in front of a crowd. You can just tell she gets nervous on stage, and once again, nothing wrong with that.

Lana sings with her heart, soul, and body. She takes inspiration from the older eras, the ones that have been forgotten. She doesn't sing about being rich, being the best, being famous, or being anything above someone. She writes with a compassion for art, not money. That's true talent, and not a lot of the most famous pop stars do that.

Lana is simply amazing! Her voice is like that of the sirens on the rocks of mythology. Beautiful and mesmerizing woman/singer.

FIash911 Have you heard any of her songs? Any of her lyrics? Anything of hers? She has an actual story to all her songs, each with a different meaning. She seeks inspiration in the people of the older eras, the ones who are forgotten. She brings them back to life. She doesn't care about the fame or fortune, just singing. She is talented, and takes on topics that not all artists talk about. That's what real talent is, and not a lot of the most famous artists out here do that.

Lana Del Rey is interesting phenomenon - she looks like goddess in her music videos, so confident about what she does, but when she sings live she looks and sounds so scared, like being on scene is a punishment to her.

Many artists are actually introverts, which can make them seem wooden or disconnected from the songs they perform live. It also has a great deal to do with stage-fright. When they're performing on stage, the entie focus is on them to deliver a flawless performance because there are no second takes. Recording a video is a whirlwind of activity where many scenes are only a few seconds long and require several takes, giving the artist the time & opportunity to develop their persona/character for the video.

people can make a career out of anything as long as they love doing it. I think that she has a beautiful voice and that she can do allot of stuff with it. Lana Del Rey doesn't need us as much as she needs her voice she could still live without us but she choses to show people her voice because that's what she loves to do. many people can sing but they don't do it publicly because of that well known thing called fear and singers whether they be bad or good show us that we can overcome our fears. by just getting up on stage and singing. it's fine by me if you don't like her music that is your opinion. you know, those who say she can't sing, is because they have settled in their heads a specific idea of what a singing voice should sound like: powerful voice, strong vibrato ecc.. but lana has a gift that not everyone can see, she holds magic just in her natural vocal tone. she has the power to make everything sound very emotional. and its really personal to hear that. in my opinion she has one of the best voices out there. other people say she sucks, but it just really depends on one's personal taste. I think she has lip fillers or something. Something about them looks unnatural to me. I have thin lips and a small mouth and I'd get lip fillers and stuff if I could and maintain them too.

I'm not taking anything away from Lana's effort. She wrote this amazing song and delivered a haunting yet effective performance. Miley Cyrus brings her voice to this song giving it a sound worthy of her talent. Where Lana's rendition is a bit spooky, Miley's is sobering and heartfelt. It was expertly performed.

Lana is amazing!!! Hater back off!!! Her voice is amazing, she doesn't use autotune. When she is recording, she sings the way she should, sounding really good. But when she performs, she is totally different. She feels the song. It's her own way to perform. If you watch carefully this video, her face expressions are so pretty, what shows how she is felling the music! She doesn't need to sound the same live. She is an artist who writes her own songs, what makes her a much better artist than others, like miley cyrus, katy perry, nicki minaj and those other pop artists. Lana is Lana, she is perfect the way she is.

i think u shouldnt compare her to other artists. They are good in their own way too. You are asking haters to back off but u are saying not nice things and comparing her to other artists. Enjoy her music and dont compare :)

Well this comment isn't bias or racist at all.

It doesn't sound like shit at all!!!!!!!!!! Lana fans will love it because we know how she is live, she sings the way she wants, and if you ever sang in front of people you know that your voice comes out to be very different, you're nervous. It's a lot harder, even famous singers can be anxious about singing live, they're not perfect, so yeah, judging is pretty easy.

you are right about that singing live is dificult, but letting singers perform the way they want and not saying anything about the lack of musical training they have, is a mistake, because that just makes singers think that they dont need to have musical training to sell records and be famus. it is our responsability to complain about singers and musicians who dont have talent, because just then will be a better generation of singers that we can enjoy and feel better about expending our money to watch them perfom live.
