I can understand why people criticise her voice but they don't understand the complexity of a singers voice. Lana del Rey has a natural flexion that she incorporates in her singing voice. To me she sounds like she's singing but continually baring her soul in the way she delivers the lyrics.

I think it had more to do with the 2010s. Just remember what we listened and were as people back then. The eerie, sad and melancholic singing was just not for back then. Very interesting seeing her becoming popular these days

i won't say they looked terrible. tbh she did that when it wasn't even a trend as today, after 11 years. she really was ahead of her time, in music, in the beauty standards, and the era-building style. and at last, idc how she looks, what we're supposed to appreciate truly is her talent, her voice, her wonderful nature, and the emotions that she puts into her music. i am not even a stan, but i love her anyway :) i think her music is relatable to all of us and still, after a long time makes all the sense it should. which seems iconic. so yeah, we should be appreciative at least for that.

Yuck, her trying to sing through the injections....looks painful.
