Venues have rules to follow. If they perform past a certain time they get hit with a giant fee from the city they are in. Those venues then fine the artist for going over to help pay for the cost. Even if she had something happen she lost her time.

Showing up late and having to end her show before it was truly over is a breach of contract, and disrespectful as hell for all the people who paid.

Here in the UK the law is very strict when it comes to concert curfews. It's just how it is. A few years ago I saw Bruce Springsteen at Hyde Park and at 11pm sharp the curfew went into place and they turned off the sound. They don't care if it's your friendly neighborhood high school cover band or a legend like The Boss himself: rules are rules.

She was late when I first saw her back in 2013 and played for like 20 mins and I never listened to her music again honestly and I was a huge fan when she first started.

They didn't cut her off for no reason: the site was only licensed till that time, and if she over ran, because she was late, and kept playing, they'd like their licence, abd their future livelihood... she shouldn't have been late, simple. It's on her...

Some places don't have a choice. She played in Brandon last night. Great show. But the city made a deal with the neighbors when it built the amphitheater, that the shows would stop between 10:30 and 11:00. WOuldn't be surprising to find that similar clauses are in existence elsewhere.

Performers are told way in advance that they can not go over or they will be removed, so the fault would be down to LDR even if she was delayed due to something personal. Also with how big Glastonbury festival is I doubt that the people who run it would want to pay out compensation because 30 mins of the weekend was wasted

It's a vape, get over it. It's not alcohol, it's not illegal drugs, it's a legal thing she can do because, you know, she is an adult.

I think you all forget that if she extends her performance; that makes it so every single person working there also is required to stay. That’s not on their job to be working overtime because the singer couldn’t time manage. It also makes the whole cleanup process that much later (again the employees working far later than expected because of the artist)

All concerts I’ve ever been too ends up starting a bit late, they’ve basically stopped saying when the concerts start anymore and just say when the doors open and when it’s done. The artist might start 30 mins after the door open, or an hour or maybe even an hour and a half, I don’t get the big deal 😂
