it is Definitely in her top 5! and zo be honest no other pop song in this world has the same vibe as off to the races! not even another lana song! this song is jusg Soooo unique, special, timeless & amazing!

I remember this album defined the summer of 2012 for me. I immediately fell in love, Lana was unlike anything I’ve ever heard before. Such an amazing debut album!

Off To The Races has heavy references to the book Lolita, you research the book it's quite disturbing, but the chaotic-ness of the production reflects the toxicness of the relationship and the ending strings basically conclude the tragedy of the relationship. Some of its lyrics are also taken straight from the book.

Ooooh also some insight into This is what makes us girls, it’s supposedly about lana and her days as an alcoholic teen and she actually got sent away by her dad to sober up (which she doesn’t drink now) I have read interviews about her relationship with her dad and they didn’t used to be close. Also, knowing these things help fans to believe that Carmen is actually about her as well!! The story telling on this album is so amazing and instantly made me a fan

Holyshit… this album holds a special place in my heart 💜. Lana was literally the soundtrack to my newly found adulthood. My friend picked up BTD on the first day of our schoolies trip down the south coast of nsw in 2012 and we played this album to death! Even almost 10 years later I still listen to BTD all the time these songs just are the perfect blend of beautiful and catchy and really speak to my hip hop music loving self 😊

im not entirely sure if this is correct but i’ve seen people interpret off to the races as a song where lana was in the middle of a relationship where times were happy aswell as chaotic and apparently Million dollar man is about a toxic yet addicting person that Lana knew, she knew that he was flawed but still didn’t understand why he didn’t want her, i’m not sure if those interpretations about ottr and mdm are correct it’s just based off what i’ve seen, also if you haven’t could you react to an album by the neighbourhood (i’d probably suggest to start with wiped out), i know a lot of lana fans also listen to them :)
