She really paved the way for alternative pop artists to carry different messages and sounds. I have loved her since 2010 when I first heard the song Born to Die. I then when I to a rabbit hole of her unreleased songs and couldn't believe the talent. She is always changing up her sound and unaffected of how we feel about it!!!! Queen lana!

This is finally changing but people long didn't realize what kind of impact and artistic power Lana Del Rey has. She literally caused a paradigm shift in pop music and completely redirected a whole genre and forged it with her influence. Her music inspires emotions like no one else's can and feels nostalgic yet timeless and always with top tier lyricism. There was so much spiteful criticism surrounding her but her talent and true art outshone every doubt and established her as one of all time greatest songwriters and a living legend.

tbh i was always shocked how MTV ignored her despite delivering soooo many amazing videos during Born To Die and Paradise while selling so many albums( people still bought and not streamed back then). I think i only saw her winning at oversea awardshows like Echo Awards in Germany in 2013.

Regardless of the sales, or the harsh criticism she has received through the years, she has kept inspiring not only her fans, but others in the industry with her lyrics and being herself. she actually had a reaaaaally hard time with preforming live, her SNL experience shows it a lot, but she worked hard on it and i believe takes anxiety medication now for it. but doing a speech live is a lot different to singing your own songs on a show you premeditated, ya know? so it would make sense to spark up her anxiety.

honestly i feel like lana has been a household indie pop/alt name for a few years now. Im a teen and basically everyone knows who she is here haha, im just glad that awards have finally recognized her. She honestly didnt need them anyways but it was frustrating to see how her work was always passed off. Glad she got her flowers!!!

I can never get enough of her. I am happy you are happier. Maybe that is a stretch but for real though, she currently has more monthly listeners on Spotify than Adele and Beyonce 🤯 but truly, you deserve the attention, as much as you sometimes shy away from it. The amount of songs I love from this woman is incredible. No artist comes close to that number. And unless you go looking yourself, you have absolutely no idea how many albums she has! Many artists are this way to be fair, but the sheer amount of masterpieces on these albums is just amazing. Her fans are fiercely loyal for a reason. We know what the world has been missing out on. Summertime Sadness and Young and Beautiful are not even scratching the surface.

I adore this album. Its stunning. I didn’t listen to it for at least a year after it was released. Was living on UV and BTD and started on some other artists. And then came back non stop for the next 8 years. Fave song is Terrence Loves You (it’s not the best song on the album, but my favourite)
