@@AnonymousUser-ss2qrIt’s sad but true. This is a proud franchise with a rich tradition, but they’ve allowed LaBron to totally hijack the team. If LaBron doesn’t want a coach anymore, he’s gone. If LaBron wants certain players, they get them, no questions asked. And one day he will just walk away, mostly likely leaving the team in a mess..

Wrong. Ham was the reason the lakers were in 7th in the first place. They lost too many reg season games because of his line up changes. They should have been in 4th place at least. Ham was inconsistent with the line ups. That caused a 1st round exit.

Those teams that made the playoffs that never made it before beat them especially if you know if you're going to have to face them in the postseason!! The Lakers style has always been playing above the competition not below or average. The right coach will know and emphasize more than I have mentioned. Darvin Ham wasnt the only problem but he was a big part of the problem. He doesn't make adjustments when other teams go on runs, he doesn't use timeouts to break momentum, it took him 75% of the season to go back to the lineup that was successfully last season & challenges must not exist because he doesn't use them! And for Joy this roster has been injured the majority of the season Vando their best wing defender plays in this series and we probably would win it despite coach tag along!

An Lebron not forcing AD into playing pick and roll to pull Jokic to him and either going at him to try to get him in foul trouble or atleast tiring him out. Literally no one on this panel understands basketball, so why do they even talk about it? First, you have to ask whether Coaching in the NBA matters. If no, then it doesn't matter whether Ham is the coach or not. If yes, then how do we evaluate the coach? What is the coach responsible for? (We can ask a similar question about the GM). The coach is responsible for rotations, the offensive & defensive scheme, calling time outs, challenging plays, etc. We have heard the players (and some media members) complaining about Ham's rotations and player management all year. We also saw two games that Lakers lost to the Nuggets by 2pts, where timeouts were significant. Those are things to evaluate Ham's coaching tenure on. Similarly, either the Nuggets are the best team in the west or they aren't. If they aren't, then you can't use the Lakers losing to the Nuggets as an excuse to keep Ham as the coach. If they are, then there was a chance for the Lakers to be up in the series 3-2, and so, the Lakers are a championship contender (since any time that could have beat the best team in the west is a contender).

The NBA and the NBPA need to get this whole coaching thing figured out. It's hurting too many teams, jobs, and can eventually hurt some players legacies if taken too far. They gotta stop firing coaches just because he's had one or two bad seasons.

Ham lost the locker room. When D'lo, the only guy supporting you also turned his back on you, then you're gone. Let's not forget that LeBron wanted Ty lue, but Jeanie hired another. Isn't that the same in other sports that when a coach lost the locker room and lost the respect of his players, they're gone? Also, have we forgotten that Denver and Lakers was close until the end of all 5 games? An adjustment would've made the series longer, instead Ham got outcoached by Mike Malone in the 2nd half of those games. Atrocious game planning, rotations and play calls. And if you watched the series, there were a lot of instances especially in game 3 where there were a lot of Lakers just running around the court, now knowing what they're doing. So AD was right when he pointed that out.

Most of the key players didn't like what he was doing. Rui came off the bench and didn't like it. Reeves came off the bench and didn't like it. AD and Bron didn't believe in his strategy. DLo hated the benchings and lack of belief. D Ham is just a guy. Not bad, not good. They were a play-in team both years. Let's not make him Phil Jackson. Not once has anyone mentioned what D Ham did great strategically at any point during his tenure??? He wasn't a motivator, not a great X/Os, just a guy.

I think they should give JJ a shot but if they don’t then why don’t they give Mark Jackson a call he’s a really good coach. Look how he had the Warriors playing before Kerr got there he had them playing great and then Kerr just took them to another level

As a coach, you have to come up with the strategy to beat the Rope-a-Dope Nuggets. Too many losses to the same team! Also, the personnel management, time out management, etc was more than questionable. He couldn't figure it out, so he had to go.
