Cuz none of them are LeBron's sons. In a weird sort of way though, what Joy is saying also applies to them. They're getting ignored now, and will be ignored into November, but over the rest of the 2024-2025 season, it will be up to them to show that shows like this SHOULD be talking about them. Like "You SHOULD be watching me, because I'm going to be Rookie of the Year material! ASK SOMEBODY!!" The court is the great equalizer. All jokes aside, on teh court, there is no LeBron Jr, no Shaq Jr, no nothing, your just a number once that whistle blows. Everybody is going to have to SHOW they belong. Whoever they are, whatever draft number they are chosen at, don't worry. If they deserve it, they're time is going to come.

Joy so wrong. The conversation around Bronny is not if he will be as good as his father. Which we know 99.9% he won't be. The conversation is if purely by his basketball skills alone right now, is he good enough to make it into the NBA. If he name Bronny Johnson, he would not have gotten invited into the draft combine.

Then in college he is averaging 4 points a game in a bad conference and he is about to get drafted. They acting like he was dropping 30 points a game or something.

Why feel bad for someone who has such an incredible opportunity due to pure luck? The only reason we're talking about him is because he's Lebron's son. He isn't drafted if he's not Lebron's son. He's not talked about at all if he's not Lebron's son. Yes, expectations on him could get overboard, to a level he could never live up to. But that's why he should be thankful that he's even getting the opportunity in the first place because it is completely about his father, not because of his own personal skill and athleticism. It's something you have to accept when you're related to someone famous. There's millions, tens of millions, maybe hundreds of millions who would happily trade spots with you.

This specific convo makes all the sports talking heads look silly. His work did not speak for him in high school (where he was given a McDonald's All-America selection b/c of his dad) and in college where his stats clearly show he is no where near a top player. His basketball game has never spoken for him to say he is great. Check Pat Bev's highschool stats and Collegiate accomplishments James Jones. You'll see there is a reason he became a great pro and why you should've never mentioned his game with someone who has NEVER accomplished anything on his own in basketball.

We are only having this conversation because he is Bron’s son, which is a gift and a curse. Every year, there are players that get drafted that may not be ready, but we do not talk about them. We don’t care if they get drafted or not. This situation is strictly about Lebron James and his son potentially being drafted. If Bronny James was “Eric Johnson” that went to USC, had a health scare, averaged 5 points a game, and entered the draft, and got drafted, the story would be “ Eric didn’t play much because of a health scare, but he is athletic, has an NBA body, can shoot the 3, plays defense and can run an offense. He’s raw but can be a Jrue Holiday or Derrick White type role player.” We wouldn’t care if he was drafted. This is strictly a LeBron James story. People are going to love it or hate it.

The difference between Bronny and all those other guys is the fact that he will be drafted in the first round ONLY because a team wants lebron to play with them. If he doesnt get drafted and a team signed him as a free agent, thats another issue. But he is going to be drafted without ANY sign of being a good "PRO" Basketball player and its due to trying to get lebron to play with them. None of these other kids were drafted in the first, 2nd or 3rd because of there name.
