This is the first channel im going to visit after the Celtics beat the Mavs.
It's funny. Suddenly, "Luka is banged up" is part of the narrative to give the Mavs a break/excuse. Nobody is talking about the game's pace- the Mavs are not used to this pace. It's faster than Minny, OKC, or the Clippers. C's fought the team with the fastest pace (Pacers) and swept the series. That's why Luka looked gassed at the end.

No one talks about pace because no one understands it. The reason Indiana kept building early leads and letting them slip towards the end is because (1) that's how they play, and building an early lead was the only chance they had of beating Boston, (2) when you expend that much energy and concentration in the first 3 quarters of the game, it tires you out mentally and physically. Late game execution isn't just about "mental toughness" and "intangibles", a lot of the time it's about how much gas you got left at the end. Celtics got tagged as frontrunners the last 2 years, when I saw them playing from behind against Indiana and executing, especially without Porzingis, I knew they were locked in.

Last night FLuka actually waved himself off the court (in mid-game) because he was OUT OF BREATH trying to keep up with and defend those Boston studs. He ain't seen nothing yet. There will be no refuge nor escape for fat boys who are not in basketball shape. JT came out and said this much in his post-game comments that the C's will make sure that there will be no hiding places for the opponent's defenders...this cryptic message was targeted specifically for Fluka, without calling him out by name. 🤣

This is the most compelling argument that ISN'T being talked about. The Pacers were a LEGIT playoff team, albeit inexperienced. They played the Cs super close in that series despite the sweep. I feel that the Pacers lost due to their inexperience. The Mavs are not conditioned to play this fast. This is a major weakness that will lead to their downfall.

The only way the Mavs are winning a game is if the Celtics lay an egg shooting wise, but if the Mavs can't stay in front of our ball handlers then it's not going to happen, way too many open shots. If they stop collapsing the paint on drives, Tatum and Brown are going for 70.

Yes numbnuts. But you need to interpret the data too haha think about it--- they had an easy path in the East. So by Celtics dominating the East doesn't say a whole lot. In the playoffs they have not played any opponent like those in the West, especially that most times the stars of the teams they played were also hurt. Last year, as much talent as they had, they still got surprisingly knocked by a Heats team that was nowhere near as deep as the Celtics... Celtics can still be a disappointment in the Finals. There have been talented teams like that 🤷🏽♂️ So going by your principle--- the Celtics have shown us that they can dominate a weak East thus far. And it's not the first time teams that win a whole series lose in a blowout for one of the games or a few. It's just Game 1 lol

It’s that age old adage of “ohh look at the shiny new toy!! I don’t care if it’s quality is terrible and far worse than they toy that I’ve had for years that has stood the test of time, I think the new shiny toy is way cooler!! This Boston team was so good and so dominant from day 1 that I feel like all of these talking heads just kinda got lulled to sleep by how great this team truly is.. only 5 teams in NBA HISTORY have reached game 1 of the finals w as many wins as this Celtics team, u may have heard of them.. Magic n Kareem did it once in the 80’s, Jordan’s Bulls did it twice in the 90’s and Steph’s warriors did it twice in the 2010’s(each of those 5 teams won the chip) shady saying “everything went well for Boston last night, everyone hitting fadeaway etc lol Pritchard went 0/7 and Tatum scored 10 pts lower than his season average and BOS curb stomped em!! Luka had one assist and 4 TO’s bro, that’s not an accident, DAL will not win more than one game in this series but I don’t think they will, we are about to witness one of the most lopsided finals in league history 🤷🏼♂️

because this whole panel are gamblers and betters, im sure all of them put money on the mavs to win and now all of them are nervous.
This isn't just a "bad game." The Celtics are a better team overall. You know, I was waiting for someone to mention a few key points, but nobody did. . .Luka still scored 30, but it was a hard-fought 30. Kyre didn't play as well, for sure. The latter (not the former) will most likely change on Sunday. But the defensive switches prevented Luka from dishing out his usual assists. This type of switch defense isn't going to fizzle. It's going to be like this for the entire series. Defense wins championships. And KP isn't just going to dominate one game. He came out to win. No rust, no dust. He was the difference maker, so give him his flowers. With KP the Mavs are spread farther apart. And you know that lob threat the Mavs had going with Gafford and Lively? Nope. It's not going to be prominent in this series. Get real. It's crazy so many people got the Mavs over the Celtics. Don't get me wrong, the Mavs are a great team, and they deserve to be here, but for the Celtics, it is just their year.

No one seems to bring up the fact that b/c Kyrie played for the Celtics, many of the Celtics are used to his many moves. In sports, it's easier to deal with some top players when you're good/very good and have had lots of exposure to them. There are other factors of course (e.g. Boston has multiple excellent defenders), but I haven't heard that one mentioned.
The Celtics beat the Mavs twice this year before & after the trade by a lot of points. The Mavs have the best player on the court, problem is they don’t have the best team. Tatum can have a bad game because White, Porz, Holiday & Horford can all give you 20 pts. On top of that, Kyrie & Luka can’t sag off anyone and just rest on defense. They gotta work! Celtics in 6

I’m fully convinced these people don’t watch the games. The Celtics lineup is insanely deep compared to Dallas. Sure, Luka can score 30 points on one leg and a motivated Kyrie can score 20 but there’s 6-7 guys on the Celtics that can do that.

Yeah, cuz they need people to watch the finals cuz everyone deep down knows the Celtics were gonna win before the season started….the Celtics are so good, it’s almost unfair to the league, they need to build the hype to balance out. Not gonna lie, watching the Celtics this year was cool, but also kinda boring at times cuz you knew if they lost it was because they weren’t trying
Boston match’s up to well for Dallas. Being able to guard Luka and Kyrie with doubling made Dallas one dimensional. 9 assist for a team is crazy.

Gobert and KAT didnt have the feet to move with two master dribble manipulators in Kyrie and Luka. 40% of your defense is compromised right there. Celtics only has slow foot Porzingus as Horford is able to move his feet enough to thwart those dribblers. But unlike Gobert, Porzingus can score at the other end. Kyrie and Luka gotta put up 55pts minimum per game or they done
