Game 3 it was 1v1 and that's why Tatum dropped 31 with less assist and rebounds because he didn't need to focus on that. And I'm not discrediting Brown by any means. However, the defensive looks towards Tatum compared to Brown is not the same this series, and it has been blatant. If You can't see it.... I got nothing

JB is a phenomenal player and deserves all the credit he’s been getting. He’s not as good as Tatum. People always suffer from recency bias and forget that even though Tatum is in a shooting slump, he’s making winning plays all over the court. He averaged 30-10-6 in the conference finals and didn’t win MVP. He scored the most points in a game 7 in NBA history last year. He dropped 46 on the road in an elimination game vs Milwaukee in 2022. Brown gets to play one on one because when the defense doubles, it’s always Tatum. And he has been making the right plays over and over in the playoffs. People criticized him for playing hero ball and not winning, and now that he’s playing team ball and winning, he’s being criticized for it. JB is worth every bit of the contract - Tatum is the better player.

Brown is playing his best on the game's biggest stage, and it's been amazing to watch. That still doesn't mean he's a better player than Tatum.

They work together, against the warriors, people (myself included) were wishing Tatum would stop forcing so much. He’s now taken a step by and been more of a playmaker and teammate rather than a scorer. And he has the convenience of having another great scorer on the team. Tatum has done what the team needs him to do in order to win

This should be a wake up call for Luka cuz the Celtics just exposed him but forcing him to play defense and not just help defense but actual one vs one defense. The Celtics aren’t exposing Luka. In fact their game plan is the exact opposite: and that’s to let Luka be Luka, and he is. He’s still getting his points, just not efficiently. I don’t think that’s “exposing” someone. More like slowing them down if anything.

You know Luka isn’t to blame when these people say he is. None of them have had a correct take all year. First it was the Nuggets who would dominate, then the Wolves and then the Mavericks were supposed to dominate. These people have been wrong all year. I'm not a Luka fan but I agree with you. Without him they wouldn't have made it this far. He and Kyrie are ball hogs, though, that's why the Mavs are sucky.

Yeah... It is so weird. The Mavs really are Luka, Kyrie, and marginalized players. The Mavs were up 15. As soon as Luka sat, they trimmed the lead to 3 in just 2 mins. No one else can dribble? No one else can make plays? With how Boston is defending them, half of their top players seem unplayable. Jones and Kleber probably shouldn't be on the court. Hardy and Hardaway definitely shouldn't be on the court... Cant play Luka and Kyrie for 48 mins. Only Washington is having an ok season, and even he cant really make plays in this series.
