All of us if lucky can relate to your story, Melinda. Never give all the heart, WB Yeats once wrote in one of his many marvelous poems, for it will be confounded. Yet, I too had for eight years done so, just throwing myself into this breathtakingly marvelous love with my old music partner and touring the Renaissance fairs together. I must confess that this time was magical for both of us...but sadly didn’t last. Still, to have tasted such love was worth the sweet and beautiful memory.

That's a beautiful line for a song "What I got instead of my way was my life."

My favorite creators are the ones who share their lives authentically, the way you have in this video. I know I'm not alone in wishing that I could have been there walking beside you on the beach. We wouldn't have needed to speak because sometimes just being there in support of someone and letting them feel their feelings is all there is to do. When people I care about are hurting, I always think of "The Mourning Booth," by The Skit Guys. I'm not religious, but I try to be that last woman who sits down in the booth and then just holds space for the person who is hurting. You love us, and in return, you are loved by us.

We are happy for him but it stings a lot still. This is not easy for his little brothers or dad either. I feel like I’m balancing on a tightrope of joy and sadness. Today I am watching your videos for the first time, hearing your voice. Your words go straight to the heart. You have such an incredible charisma, like a very old soul that has incarnated several times, but at the same time you are ageless for me. What you radiate and say is like ancient, very special, profound knowledge and at the same time so young and timeless. Even the sad melancholy situations, even if they hurt at first, but they take us further, sometimes back to our roots, sometimes forwards. Often you don't see the point of it, but with a little more time and distance you often realize that it was good for something. I firmly believe that God (whatever you call it) protects the "good ones" with a truly compassionate heart. I myself was also too unhappy for far too long because of a love that ultimately wasn't a love or wouldn't have made sense on my personal path to maturity. But I got myself into it and somehow didn't want to let go myself. That was many years ago, but I've since realized that it was right that it didn't turn into a relationship. Letting go is very, very difficult, but it's often only then that the heart can really heal. When I read the comments here, I feel soooo much love, compassion, enthusiasm for you, that although it is a different kind of love than that of a man, it is no less valuable, on the contrary, so much more simply selfless love without having a relationship. Simply because of your lovable nature. Let yourself be carried by this love from us and everything will turn out well and just as it should.❤

That's my place too ! I never lived there but I'm in Sacramento so it's my playground. Especially Emerald Bay. My nieces and I used to hike down the waterfall. I had relatives who had a condo there. I still love to go for the day ❤

Yeh... sometimes love bites! Sorry you're going through this! Been there! Sometimes I think it's better to have a significant other that we like having in our lives - they add some extra joy and love - but we know that we don't NEED them, to be whole or have joy and peace. I understand being "addicted " to a person. To this day, I literally thank God that that relationship didn't pan out for the long haul. Today, I am better for it.
