Lake Superior Spring Steelhead fishing and hiking

First time fishing for steelhead on Lake Superior and it was a success! couldn't have been better weather for my trip up here. It was a tough hike to get to the river because of the remaining snow on the trail but it was all worth it in the end. Just wish my Gopro batteries didn't die on me in the worst possible moment. Hope you guys enjoy!

Awesome vid! Superior is such a magical place. I went out on it for the first time ever last Monday. It was a nice calm day so I took the day off work and drove to Thunder Bay. Got a couple salmon and a lake trout. Pretty sweet day. That vid drops tomorrow afternoon. Cant believe I waited 38 years to hit this lake when I've lived so close all my life. Cheers

Awesome joe looking forward to the footage! You are lucky to live closer to Lake Superior, maybe in the future I’d want to live closer. I’m headed back up there in the next 3 weeks to hike the coastal trail and then I’m heading towards Terrace Bay to camp, super stoked!

@@mattspence2059 nice! Terrace Bay is beautiful. Gotta check out the Aguasabon R and Falls! In 3 weeks the rivers should be full of salmon and steelhead also so make sure to wet a line!

Pretty sure I know where this is Nice inland rainbow in Noisy also pulled a 4 pounder out of there one yr . The smelt run kinda messes with the fishing though lol> Born and raised there fished from Baldhead to the Puckasaw and even Michipicoten Island , great vid hard to explain the natural beauty and solitude .Great vid brings back a lot of great memories.

That’s awesome! It was a very nice hike in. That whole stretch of Lake Superior is amazing. I’ve only seen a part of it hiking the coastal trail last year. Thank you for watching, Cheers!
