Great Lakes Surf Fishing & Tent Camping Adventure (Cooking a Salmon Omelette)
Ойын-сауық
In this episode, join Oliver and I as we set out for an adventure along the Lake Superior shoreline. Although our bites didn't come easy, we caught a perfect display of species that Superior has to offer. Between camping, cooking and fishing, this is an action packed episode and I hope you enjoy!
Thanks for watching! ~Kyle McClelland

I'm always shocked at the size of the fish from the Great Lakes... Incredible. If I lived there I'd fish every single day. 💥💥💥💥

Think most of us know that first spot.
Go to that towns main hotel, outside the hotel is a food truck that has the best breakfast sandwiches we've ever had!
I live in PA now. I'm from Detroit.Your video made me miss MI. Camping and fishing on the beach. Good food. Thats living large. Can't beat it. Well put together video. Thanks.
I am a huge fan of Phflueger reels. Especially the older wood handles one. How do you feel about them?
Amazing content as always, what a brown! Hoping to do this on superior’s north shore again this year.
Best channel out there for fish, camp, cook in my favorite places! Even the ones I haven't been to yet😅
As someone who pretty much only catches brown trout hats off to you on that brown, truly a beautiful fish. PS definitely got my subscription on this one.
Splake are stupidly pretty! Great video as always!
you got a golden retriever, your even a better man now! Kings coming soon baby! Also caught a big brown couple weeks ago 13lbs Holland mi
Like how you move from spot to spot rather than wasting a whole day in one. It’s more productive for fishing!
Great video as always Kyle! Splake definitely rank right up there as one of the best eating fish and they're fun to catch!
That's living dude!
Another great video Kyle. Your cinematography is top notch, but your enthusiasm for fishing and the outdoors is what makes your videos so enjoyable to watch. I unfortunately don’t have time for these adventures anymore with kids and a very busy schedule, but I recognize a lot of your locations around Michigan from experience. I’m fishing Lake Michigan as much as possible, hope to run into you sometime on the water. Thanks for sharing all these incredible videos. Pro tip: use that Dog heat to stay warm, that dude is living his best life!

Yes Michigan is a sportsman Paradise and we are blessed to live here.
Awesome adventure!
Looks like a blast!
Amazing job. I don't think it has to do with previous comments but more so to do with the change in season, but man this one's packed w entertainment. Keep it coming. Sitting stagnat waiting for my season to change sucks. Your output makes it somuch more bearable. Thanks man.
Some of the best snorkeling I’ve done was next to Miners Castle below that observation deck. Those troughs are pure rock with some sand scattered around. I wish I was up there with you, thanks for sharing your experience.

Awesome vid
Wow, love your channel. Delicious Catch cook. We love oliver. Thanks for sharing✌️
Love every video you post! Hope to meet up with you one day on the river
I did some fishing in the river there(at your first spot) this past summer. The bottom of the river is all sandstone and you can walk right up the rapids barefoot without slipping. I caught small rainbow Trout in the small waterfalls/rapids. My boys had a great time jumping off the edge of the cliff into Lake Superior.
Great video Kyle! Thanks for sharing! 🎣🎣🎣
Absolutely love these videos. I grew up shore fishing with my dad on Lake Michigan. We used a metal 5 gallon bucket to cook breakfast every morning on the piers. Whether we caught some browns or got skunked, breakfast was always amazing!
Very good! Always another great production. The mouth of Anna is always good for trout. My buddies been catching some coho trolling the bay. Looking forward to another video. Oliver likes his bacon. Man's best friend.
Start to finish. Great content bud.

👍👍😀great video!! Nice.
That splake was a beauty. Haven’t done much surf fishing for trout / salmon but looks cool. Seen lots of guys around me on Huron do it though
We used to catch many browns and good ones over in Ontario on georgian Bay and lake Huron and they died off immensely for some reason
Kyle your excitement makes my day, love to see you enjoy life so much!! Kyle can I ask u to consider wearing an inflatable life vest. As an avid waterfowl hunter I know how things can go wrong very fast when in waders. Just a bit of advice buddy.

What I like the most about your trip is that you are only taking what you can eat and releasing the rest. Also, where I live near Seattle, there would be 200 people fishing on that shore line. And of course most of our sigh are fished out.
Cast iron dutch ovens, try putting hot coals on the lid. You'll get an even cook. Also, you can turn lid upside down and you have a griddle.
Good on you for letting that beautiful brownie go free🎉
Kyle, I'm out here in Washington State again this spring working for the DFW and it makes me feel good that you are going to my favorite spots to fish so I'm not missing out on spring fishing as much as otherwise. It's been a while since I was there but the one spot at the river mouth in the Park we used to go out on that sandstone spit which would enable us to fish directly into deeper water. There was a rope hanging down at the narrowess and steepest part of the trail going out to it. I wonder if the rope is still there or the Park Service took it out?
Good job buddy
Always love your shore fishing videos. The brown trout bite on Lake Michigan has been awesome for me trolling so far. We have Been lucky with some really nice weather too (north east WI side)

We’re looking forward to some small mouth out of east and west bay ,Traverse City.
great video.
What a great channel you have! One thing that would be helpful to me and maybe others if you checked the water temperature every time you fish just to give us an idea what the fish are doing or not doing in certain temperatures.
Stud brown! You ever put a dead smelt on a floating jig head? Hard to beat fresh spawn but its a good 2nd option. Like you're vids. Subscribed..
That brown🤩
Good stuff man ! I don't do well with heights either but those are the pucker benefits of being a Michigander eh 😅 🤙

Sounds fishy, might have to try that one👍
Nice video. Great dog. Have you tried the McCormick's Maple and Brown Sugar seasoning? Pretty good on trout and salmon. Nothing like a hot meal on a cold day.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Man I would love to try and catch and eat splake.
4 foot piece of rebar, pvc, duc tape. Make sure the rebar sits above the pvc so you can use big rock to hammer down.

love your videos! Are you sponsored by HELLE knives? I love mine! Works great for deer! I recently got my HELLE knife during deer season as a gift when I got my first archery buck (christmas gift). Watching from south central PA.

Everytime i try surf fishing in my area of great lakes i,m constantly getting snagged on rocks out there.Frustrating thats why i dont do it much. You seem to do well at it though.Good video.
Damn looks like miners castle has been subsided to a lot of erosion recently
Kyle, would you share what you use for a coating for frying fish?
You should try and get into some smelt one day. If anyone can find them I'm sure you can
