Hunting Early Spring Chinook Salmon in a Small Boat (Catch and Cook Adventure)
Ойын-сауық
In this episode, join Mike, Oliver and I as we set out on an adventure to find our first king salmon of the year in unfamiliar waters. On this trip, we trolled lead core and divers with spoons in my river boat along Lake Michigan's shoreline. Is there anything more exciting than a diver rip in the prop wash?
Thanks for watching! ~Kyle

The only problem with this video is that I'm not in it. Lol. I never miss an episode. Your laugh can make a rainy day sunny. Keep going strong brother!!!
Buddy your content is second to none. And to make a meal like that by fire is ridiculous. Awesome job.
You are one blessed man. Your channel is second to none when it comes to an outdoor channel. I wish you all the spoils of life.
Kyle’s cooking show with a side of fishing.
Nothing like listening to line peeling, except maybe eating like a "king". Your stuff is crazy awesome! Thank you!
My home port! Headed out last night solo for a shake down trip. Ended 1-2 with a a shaker that I dragged for who knows how long. Excited to have the salmon back!
You don't even know how great your videos are! Put's Michigan TV shows to shame.
I loved that tip about following where the lilacs are blooming to find the salmon! Great video as always. I need to get out there and catch some chrome!
Phenomenal episode. That campfire meal looked absolutely delicious.
Oh baby…that gets the heart pounding…so fun!!! Thanks, Kyle!!!
That's money dude! 👍
Grew up in the 60's when they were burning alewives at the beach heads on lake huron because they were a nuisance . Watched them pile em' up with bulldozers and light em' on fire with diesel. Caught the very first coho when they averaged ~17lbs then the kings (35lbers) came and decimated the lake. It was a h3ll of a run until mid 2000's. These have and will always be invasive species a dieing breed in our lakes. Snow bird down in florida for the last 4 years and salt water fish just taste way better than the walleye and chinook I used to eat in Michigan. Oh the good ole days when we would hunt pheasants on a dirt road (2 lane) called mound road on the opener every October. ole the good ole days.
That time of year in MI, nothing better!! I miss it.
Great trip. I started keeping the bones to eat myself and feed all others the boneless fish since most won't deal with bones.😊
I live 5 minutes from that launch! Didn’t recognize it until the drone shots! Love to see that kings moving up!
Great video and I was even a little surprised to see a port I’ve floated through once or twice to go chase fins on the big lake.
What a great video and it was even shot in my hometown.
That was a fantastic meal. I'm an avid salmon fisherman and I love eating them as well, lake o guy too lol.
Ahahah! You are crazy. 😂 💪 Nice trip.
Awesome video, thanks!!!❤
Great content , love the Moose Drool ! Been enjoying it for close to 20 years . Discovered it on a fishing trip to Montana, so glad we finally have it in Michigan
Great video as always brother.....and those mashed potatoes and that Salmon look so good!!!!!
Spring kings baby!! Quality fish. Great video man
Love your videos & the drone work & your low key descriptions of what you’re doing & especially your excitement!
Love those Coneys!!!
Great job Kyle, look forward to your videos can't wait for your next one.
Great video as always. Got to love the swans. They were mighty angry there this week.
That was a keeper right there! Great fishing, superb cooking! I know you keep the boat moving to keep the lines straight, but it seems like maybe you could go into neutral when you are netting the fish. You are going to lose fish that is part of fishing, but I felt bad for Mike trying to extend out to net that first fish. The boat speed just kept the Salmon out of reach.
Awesome video Kyle, looking forward to getting on the Spring Kings in Ontario. Making recipes like that in the bush is amazing! Keep up the awesome content!
Moose drool is the best beer on earth yessir!
Kings already awesome video nice fish and the meal looked delicious
My gawd this is a fun video!
Great video Kyle! Keep it up man!
Wow, that looks sooo good!🤤

Easily one of the best fishing channels on KZread, enjoying many of your recipes over here on Georgian Bay!
Great video Kyle!!! Hoping the weather is good this weekend to get out there. Orange, blue and green works well out of that port. Great start to the year. Thanks for the video

Great video ! I always wonder where you are fishing but this time I know. I have used that same launch before . Also spent a night on that sub !
Not just the Salmon... the White Bass run when the lilacs bloom around the Great Lakes, too.
Amazing trip, video and editing! Fish on! 🎣
Good stuff
Great Video love the enthusiasm. Great fishing dog. I want to catch a King Salmon. California closed the King Season for a second year and knowing this state it will be at least 5 years. Fished Lake Michigan June 19th and we got Mack’s, a few silver and a steelhead.
Wow. Awesome!
Love your stuff my man, keep it coming
first net job made my heart stop lol
Awesome adventure! Why are wesco donuts so good!? Early morning staple anytime I'm fishing west side of the state!

I wish you a great season! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with making that meal🙂
Nice
I think your net has seen better days, from lifting all those nice fish!
yet another awesome video… when you hook a king why do you prefer to put the reel in free spool, as opposed to letting the drag do all of the work? more control? Been watching your videos way before you were adventure chasing and looking forward to more great content 🔥
I luv this kid….
Gotta try this
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Need a net guy bud 😂
OWL!!!
Very nice video! King takes out 600ft, Also reel bail is in free spool….lol. Drags that bad on those okumas?
Great video! Why do you open the bail when the fish is running? 11:40
understood chilli sauce!
Hey dude, need more action from you.❤
Damn son, you sound just like me getting ready to go walleye fishing the D. Where did you guys launch at? Love it!

Love and prayers in Jesus name 💯🥰🙏🏻✝️⚔️🫵🎣👀😎😇👍
Tacoma pull the boat easy?
Killer video, as always! But please be aware, swans can drown dogs pretty easily, they are mean, we know this but they can and will drown a dog!
First haha
CHINOOK Salmon. King is a slang term. CHINOOK CHINOOK CHINOOK
They are sure lots of fun to catch but still to this day them landlocked salmon are disgusting as far as table fair, west coast ocean run salmon are far superior to eat.
Nice
