I was out on a shoreline hike and came across this site ... which appears to be a pretty good small plastics filtering system. It seems there is more and more plastic debris along the shoreline these days. I cannot clean the whole beach everytime I'm out and so had come to focus on balloons and balloon strings as they were so popular and easy to find. Fortunately, because of education and groups like 'balloonsblow.org/', they are getting harder to find!
Unfortunately, small pieces of plastic are getting easier to find in quantities that make them stand out along the shoreline. What I have not figured out is an easy, efficient way to collect the pieces for proper disposal.
