I love your content Shaun, and I know you love Iceland and your focus is there , but could you give your expert opinion on what is happening in Campi Flegrei at the moment, even if its a brief discussion. There is not alot of expert coverage of that , and it seems like it is quite a concern at the moment.

Just an awesome discussion, and collaboration between two of my favorite content creators. Why we navigate toward these two content creators, is because we want factual information without the distorted word salad spewed by today's media outlets. I have not watched any MSM outlets in 7 years, they just don't do investigative journalism anymore, and the dishonesty or biases is just nauseating. Great Job Gylfi & Shawn, stay factual, and the viewers will flock to your contents & eventually your subs will be through the roof. TY for all the great contents you create. I'm in my lat 60s, retired mil/leo analyst, but still eager to learn new things. Stay safe, and may God's grace shine upon you all!

This discussion is great!! I've been following both of you for different reasons and to see your connection in this collab, it's very cool! I've been following professor Willsey because of my interest in geology of the western US, where I reside. I started following Gylfi at the end of last year due to his unbiased assessment of the current volcanic activity, because my wife and I have been planning a trip to Iceland for several years and, rightly so, had concerns. Now, after watching this interview, now would like to incorporate the lesser known features of your country into our trip. Thanks for this!!

It is really nice to be able to put a face to the friendly voice of Gylfi that I have been listening to! Thank you for the work both of you do, I have always had a casual interest in geology, rocks, and mountains, volcanos. When I travel and see mountains I always want to know how they came to be and find out what types of rocks they are made of. Both of your channels bring much needed geology content to KZread where it is easy for people with a casual interest like myself to learn. Gylfi has given me a much greater understanding and appreciation of Iceland. I am sorry to say the closest I have been to visiting Iceland is making a connection on a flight to the UK, but even what I could see from the airplane window was so interesting, and Gylfi has helped me learn so much more about Iceland.

We visited Iceland during November 2012. Akureyri was our favourite place. It is so beautiful. There was an outside hot tub surrounded by snow. Freshwater trout on the menu that was so clean. I think it is great to have Gylfi and Shawn together, because they have the two insights in what is going on at the Reykanes Peninsula right now - the changing of the landscape, consechenses for people in Iceland, how to live with it (gylfi) and the geology (Shawn). So interesting, and important for someone who wants to learn about the icelandic culture and vulcanoes 😊👍 I am from Denmark and as Iceland was Danish territory up until 2. World war, I have grown up thinking of Iceland as "part-Danish". I have had fellow students from Iceland during my education in the '1980'ies', since it was quite common in these days for Icelanders to be educated in Denmark. I have a great interest in the culture and landscape of Iceland, an I have Danish friends living in Iceland now. I have always thought of the Icelandijc people as a strong people in terms of nature and weather, and it is not a surprise to me how well they are handling this situation at the Reykanes Peninsula. I mostly follow Shawn, but it has been so good to have someone at "ground zero" to explain how this plays out for people at the peninsula -and of course, great videos 😊👍
