I used to fish off the public dock where the bait shop is that has gas pumps for the boats. I used the catfish guts from the ones I caught the day before. I also used chicken liver. It's best if you leave this bait out in the heat for a day. The smellier the better. Catfish feed in the shallow waters at night and in the deep waters in the day time. Anyway, I casted toward the bank by the bait shop and I caught a 68 lb. blue cat. I live in New Hampshire now and I really miss my night time catfishing there.

I’m going to be fishing lake Marion in the next couple weeks. My family is going to the keys , Florida for salt water fishing from pa. I only ever caught my Cattys at night.
