propaganda, gaga is all about creating a community. She is not selling music. She is selling people who cant be alone, a community to belong to. I hope Madonna will just pay her to make great music again and just drop the pretentious Modern Art attempts. I like Gaga. I just cant stand her in interviews. Get her a speech coach. Its 2020, she needs to finally reinvent herself.

My sister past away due to Covid-19 a week ago from today. It makes me incredibly sad to know she left before listening to this album. She loved to dance so much. First thing I did when it was released was listening to the album all the way through, full blast, alone in my room, dancing through the tears I shed for her. Although we did not get the chance to dance together here on earth, I can only hope we can dance together again in the afterlife. I love you so much my beloved sister. Thank you Gaga for this pop and powerful album. Edit: thank you everyone for your condolences 💕 thank you for reassuring me she’ll always be dancing in my heart 💕

I keep seeing comments saying that Gaga is the only real “ celebrity “ because she stayed so true to herself when in reality this is what she is talking about. Everyone, every artist, is still real and still human. We need to stop objectifying quote on quote “celebrities”. Lady Gaga speaks of her trauma and her experience in a way that is relatable. My mental health depletes and rises off and on. The album Chromatica really is traumatizing, yet a re-birth. If dance / techno / house isn’t your vibe. Resonate your soul with the lyrics. We are all struggling. Especially with the climate of this world. Thank you for always bringing us all together. In this case dancing in unison within the realm of Chromatica ⚔️💗 My heart and the reason I’m breathing is because of this woman.

Opened this thinking it was a short and just a promotional interview. But ended up staying for the entire hour because she is so wise and the reasons that she has experienced pain might not be the same, but that feeling is universal. As she spills her heart and spreads that message of pure kindness - I can’t help but gain a tremendous amount of appreciation for what this woman has done for the LGBTQ community and just people in general. She’s one of the few artists who really knows how to convey emotions and explain them in a way that is understandable. We love you, Mom!! I will have my fucking paws up until the day I die!!!!

Gaga truly is the queen of kindness, a very sensitive soul myself, she cried while hugging me...after rain on me was finished filming after two days...(I helped her makeup artist do the crying crystals) She said.. “thank you for always loving and supporting my art” after we relinquished our hug I began to be emotional myself, thinking of the journey that had led me to this moment. Because regardless of the idea “we are all born equal” or “treat the janitor as you would the c.e.o.” Gaga’s demeanor superseded that notion in the most opposite way you thought possible. Demolishing the universal thought of what celebrity is, Gaga exists as a catalyst for all us enigmas.

The true meaning of 'artist' should come back.

When they talked about “shame” being so destructive I really felt that. You can be full of pride with you and yourself in your own space, but still be totally shameful of yourself in a social environment because you feel embarrassed your happy doing things and being someone society “doesn’t aspire to be”.

Can I just say that you hit the nail of the head with your remark. I completely agree that you can feel happy and content with yourself when you’re in your own space. However, as soon as you let your confidence shine and attempt to own your unique energy among other people who has a different idea of what’s acceptable, then it’s all too easy to be discouraged and shameful for being who you are. Not to mention the shame we place on us for not protecting our individuality from being altered by the outside world. That’s why Gaga is so special, she refers to herself as a conduit and I feel like she is in the way she has created a space for herself where many people can espace to. Her new album will force us to awake from our slumber - for us to remember who we are underneath the shame, conformity and reclaim ownership over ourselves once more.

Stanning since 2009. Absolutely no regrets. It’s always nice to see her happy, and excited about her work.

The way that she still always references it in her interviews, you can tell that she loved and cared about it so much. It definitely is underrated and it will forever be my most favorite Lady Gaga album.

I feel like many fans of Gaga WERE ready for ARTPOP. The rest of the world who wasn’t voluntarily exposed to her creativity wasn’t as ready. I thought it was truly revolutionary, an entirely unique project that was ahead of it’s time. And for that it was “too out there”. Well, I’m more than excited to hear it’s second embodiment.

@Hanako well some of us were too young in 2008-2013 (I was between 4 and 9 years old) and the fact that people were saying she was a bad influence, satanic and whatever didn't make us try to understand her art at the time Now I'm 16 and I do.

I'm a HUGE FAN of her and music in general. Art Pop was awful tossed together crappy electronic noise. The fact it flopped is a clear indicator you're in the minority on appreciating that one.

I'd like to think that The Fame Monster was as out-of-the-comfort-zone the general public was willing to go with Gaga. Things got really divisive once she released Born This Way. It was just too much LGBTQ+ content, Social Justice, Politics, Religion, irreverent Christian / Catholic symbolism, and lyrical quirks for the general public to relate to. Oddly enough, BTW was the record that solidified my support for her. The album was really monumental to me at that time. I think I didn't listen to anything else for months since it came out. I'm still on the fence in regards to ARTPOP. Some of my favorite pieces of Gaga music are in that album, but it did ask for a lot from the public to interpret, and not every idea she threw at the wall stuck coherently. Nevertheless, ARTPOP deserved a lot more than what it got.

@Hanako not disrespectful at all it's honest . I guarantee I'm not only older than you but grew up with a preference to not socially accepted artists way before Gaga's time. I was 34 when her 1st song hit the air. I was a small kid loved Madonna Prince then was a Grunge metal teen , into industrial Goth etc. Lastly a musician and a music major. Artpop reminded me of the electronic noise of early 2000s the techno "RAVES" EDM .... not her material. Correct it SOLD I rushed out for it myself.... now research the reception and critic reviews . You noted she went on a long hiatus from album making ! It was actually years BACK in time to the annoying EDM and KIDS young teens may have loved it but not most of her fans. Being a fan doesn't mean applauding a flop rather realizing for her talent it sucked.

Gosh.. I thank God for Lady Gaga. Through her music, I get by through tough days.. Artpop is my ALL TIME FAVORITE album.

I smoked my last cigarette listening to this interview.

God I love her so much. I’m getting emotional thinking about how I initially fell in love with gaga as a kid after hearing Just Dance on the radio when it came out, and how much of a privilege it has been to since watch her grow so much as a person as well as creatively. What a woman.

Smartest person you’ve ever come across? This surely can’t be a true statement. I adore her, but she’s said herself, she’s no brain surgeon. I think you mean wise, maybe? She is extremely wise and knowledgeable - much wiser beyond her years at that. She knows a lot about her craft and her industry and she’s very wise in those areas. She’s not the smartest person ever, though. A lot of what she says seems more visceral than intellectual.

Completely magical really. All the live versions from Artrave and Artpop ball are insane. The level of talent is highest level. I only say Gaga is ethereal because I don’t have a stronger word to describe that magnitude of beauty.

Honestly one of the best interviews I’ve ever seen. I feel like Lady Gaga is so relatable and so comforting in so many ways. Grateful to have listened to this interview.

What she said about how the brain goes "STOP IT!" right the moment you start to feel some joy. OMG I CAN SO RELATE!! A therapist once said to me everyone has a favorite shitty feeling that is so hard to let go...

This woman doesn’t just give me good music. This woman is a healing spiritual coach. What she says says a lot about where she is on a conscience level mentally and spiritually in our brainless and shallow fragile society. Go Gaga ❤️

Agree. There is something very spiritual about her. Her extremely sensitive nature draws you in immediately. She is like a religion to me:I can't see her IRL, I can't touch, she is omnipotent, like a Goddess, but I believe in her, I try to be a better human being because of her words, because of her powerful nature. Her presence, her deep thoughts... God she's amazing. I pray everyday for our world to be a better place and for my world and I thank God that she makes my world complete.

When they started talking about ARTPOP I started shedding tears. I was a casual listener to Gaga's singles during the first 3 eras until I had to live on my own and had the space to listen to what I want without the shame.

It's crazy to me how we recieve this music from her and never take into consideration where it came from inside of her. We never think of what sparks it or where she has to go inside of herself in order to find it. Most people don't stop to think about what it takes for her to sing it. We don't think about how it makes her feel or what it means to her when she sings whatever it is she's singing. The way society or the generation is now for the most part is like we recieve the work and say, "Eh, what else? What's next? I want more." Always quick to judge, overlook and never realize what it took for her to give us all of that in the first place. To most it's just another album. We automatically compare it or think it's noise because we're so used to the low standard and low quality we recieve from other artists. It puts into perspective why she stands out & is the force that she is compared to her other contemporaries. I love her even more now.

Gaga absolutely understands what art is. She's a slave to the need to create and a dedicated, passionate composer.

Hands down one of the best Gaga interviews EVER.

I wish I could just hug her and have the moment of just seeing each other as people and validating each other's pain, love, specialness, and beauty. And that is happening again to me right now with Chromatica. 7:38 she just explained PTSD in a nutshell. Living with it is a nightmare. You can be perfectly happy on the outside then your brain says “no, you won’t” and you’re crying the next. And you won’t even know why. I do have my triggers, but there are times I can’t understand why I’m so sad and crying. This woman has saved my life, opened up about mental health and how loving yourself is a must to love other people. Or self care is a must to take care of others.

People are gonna watch this in the future and say “SHE WAS SOOO AHEAD OF HER TIME” 😲 Her mind!! 🤯
