Elle is also on the Gaga payroll. An expose needs to be done on the shady side of the biz. Why not write about her many relationships with sexual predators, Elle? How about the many years she worked with Terry Richardson? The song and video she made with RKelly making fun of rape? And what about her projects with Brett Ratner? Seems Elle has a selective memory or has simply decided to throw their journalistic integrity to the side. Also funny is that Gaga only speaks on this issue when she has something to promote.

Go fuck yourself, Gaga has been an advocate for mental health since 2011/2012 when she launched her BTW foundation. And has talking bout surviving sexual assault since 2013-14. She campaigned and even made a song for sexual survivors in 2015. Her song with R Kelly has nothing to do with making fun of rape, the song was written after the media made fun of her gaining weight, so the song talks about how the media can do whatever they want with her body, but it won't affect her mind, so once again, kindly go fuck yourself.

Incredibly moving speach.. Kindness and mental health... So relevant and progressive. I was diagnosed with the same problem after sexual assault. Lady Gaga said very truthfully what I have been going through. Thank you so much for this speech it makes me feel like I am not alone.

I was also raped.... last February and right now it is January 2020, and I’ve been suffering depression,anxiety,trauma and it sucks. I told my mom that night and we went to the hospital and I reported it to the police and such, ever since then I had to take medication and get needles to heal and I stopped in June. All the guys who done it that night to me, they’ve been going to court and I have my court date next month, two days After the incident and also in March. I am a survivor, and that night I was told from a person I thought who was my friend, that took me to that place, after 3 hours straight the person took me home and was threatening me saying that if they hear about it, they would go around the school and say I slept with a lot of guys. Also told me to take 3 showers that night, and so I was gonna be quiet but I realized and told myself that no it isn’t right I need to use my power and confess what happened and so I did. I also would’ve been pregnant but I got on some kind of pill that helped me not be pregnant. Which was good and I am good for now but all I know is I won’t be always good, I will get through this. I hope this doesn’t get reported or deleted because I’m saying the truth about what happened to me

I honestly don't think she consciously thought "oh! I'm gonna have this rapist in my song and we are going to make a shocking track that can be misinterpret as a rape song", I think she was naive and she focused on the artist in R Kelly rather than him as the shitty person he is. She said that DWYW was her love letter to R&B and that she wanted the King of R&B singing in the track. Plus she also said that the main reason why she added R Kelly to her album was beacuse she wanted to surprise her friend and make up artist at the time Tara Savelo, because R Kelly was her favorite artist and Gaga wanted to cheer her up beacuse Savelo was diagnosticated with Lupus. It's truth she made a huge mistake, not only because R Kelly was involved in DWYW but also beacuse she allowed Terry Richardason to direct a very disturbing video for the song, and to be honest, I'm glad she realized her mistake and that she cancelled the whole thing and her assosiation with both! Not only bacuse they are awful people that don't deserve any kind of recognition, but also because if she had let the world watch that video, that would have been the definitive end of her career.

Honestly, I was never a big Lady Gaga fan. I liked some of her music, but didn't really know much about her. When A Star is Born came out, I went to see it and I was blown away. And I went to see it again the next day. Seriously. Then I watched her Five Foot Two documentary on Netflix. Then I watched some interviews. And I'm truly mesmerized by her. She's such an amazing, inspiring, strong (and obviously talented) human being. Now I know who to look up to when I'm feeling lost.

I was assaulted and I never did anything about it. I felt it was my fault. Feeling so much for you Stephanie, I’m so sorry so many women have been abused in this way. 😢

The more I learn about Gaga, the more I love and admire her. Her story gave me the strength to admit my own assault. Over 30 years ago, and I never told a single person. It never crossed my mind because of who his family was, and keeping it inside all these years has taken its toll. So brilliant and talented, and so kind, humble and compassionate. Thank you for sharing your story with us, it unlocked something in me.

She never ceases to amaze me. Raw, intelligent, truth, deep, and passion are a what comes to mind to describe Lady Gaga. What a true artist and great public speaker. She is an icon.

I cried so much during this speech. She has such an amazing soul. I love everything she stands for. I will forever love this woman. She is the complete representation of class, intelligence, talent, elegance, strength, and inspiration, and more. I love you so much GaGa.

I got Fibromyalgia as a result of chronic stress and anxiety. Your flight or fight adrenaline is on overdrive constantly and results in the body breaking down and that’s how you get an autoimmune disease.

She’s a beautiful woman and did so much for us. She deserves the world 🖤

I’ve watched this so many times, and I still can’t get enough of it. One of the best speeches given of all time, and she mentions so many vital topics here. YAS, GAGA!!!

I truly appreciate her for saying this. Mental Health needs to be discussed and not shamed!! Dealing with Depression is not fun and so many(including myself) are hurting and yet are made to feel shame about it. It's a physiological issue! If someone had Cancer you wouldn't shame them for it. Be kind to everyone around you, you never know what someone is dealing with!! Just when you think someone has it all, you find out otherwise.

I agree with you about this completely. I've been labeled every bad thing in the book just because I have Bipolar, ADHD, Anxiety, Insomnia, and possibly PTSD. Plus those are just my mental health issues and none of my physical health issues!

This is 2 yrs old but it still breaks my heart to hear the disconnect from some of the people in the crowd. They were laughing at inappropriate times- they must not have been listening carefully. She is so amazing! She has been vulnerable and has put herself out there for some who cannot. She is the one of the most caring, thoughtful, and loving woman in Hollywood (IMO- of course). What a beautiful person!

I loved her when I was in 9th Grade because she was a performer. Now I love her even more coz she is an icon and a inspiration

She's a very soulful and smart person.

Lady Gaga is the hero we don't deserve, but desperately need right now.

Speechless is abt her dad.. each song represents Gaga's fears. And speechless is fear of death coz of her dad not wanting to undergo heart surgery that time but then he did. :)

In one night I watched all her songs available on YT. I’m not sleeping-I’m watching all her other videos as well. At 8, a boy, I was sexually assaulted and when I told one of my friends he said “ people tell themselves stories!” I didn’t say anything but went to hid my pain and regretted why I even told that to the guy who didn’t believe: Now, 21, and it doesn’t go a way! I sometimes breakdown but one day I will be a star too from the other side of the world. Thank you lady Gaga u’re inspiring from thousands of miles a way.

Oh, please get a grip. They laughed when she was telling the story of trying on various outfits and the annoying people in the room were trying to get her to wear a dress. But the audience was quiet when she was talking about her assault, then cheered to show their support (like when she said mental health should be a priority). If they were completely quiet, you would have said they were a bad audience who didn't react at anything. I didn't see anything inappropriate here.

I’m so sick of people saying she is fake. How can you watch this and come to that conclusion? Lady Gaga is not a celebrity, she is a real human with real emotions

The suit looked like it was swallowing her, but by the end it looked small and insignificant. Keep up the words about pain and depression. You speak and it echoes, allowing us who deal with this the chance to get through to people who wouldn't listen. A celebrity can't change the world alone, but they can give the people the power to. I think anyone who has served our country deserves these words: Thank you for your service.

now that’s a powerful women.

It’s great she touched both mental healthy and sexual abuse because both can go hand in hand, and both people pretend don’t exist. They’re really big issues we need more awareness to! People are too scared to come forward saying someone hurt them, that they are hurting. We need more voices coming forward, and we need to defeat all those negative people saying we’re lying or it isn’t real.

This make me crying so hard. I have watched this speech and your Stephen Colbert interview over and over again this past week. I cannot say enough how much hearing this is everything for me. For the longest time I have never realized that I had a sexual assault when I was very very young. I don’t even remember that for the longest time. When I’ve never considered myself to be one of the victim. I brained just shutdown that part of the memory off for the longest time. And suddenly last week one name has been mentioned and I totally forgot about the person that even exists in the world maybe cos my memory block that part out. And all the memories were pouring back to me and now I actually don’t know what to do. I couldn’t sleep or eat or focus for a week now couldn’t function really. All these part weeks I have been watching you (Gaga) watching all your performances/ all your interviews/ all your inspirations for everybody in this world) make me feel better. I actually would like to go to see a psychologist unfortunately I don’t think there is any in my city. If I want to go to the psychologist I have to go to Bangkok (I am in a small town in Thailand)........ I don’t know what to said I told a good friend of mine who is a man and I don’t think he understands me at all and he kept asking all these questions and make me very uncomfortable then my body started to shut down and I don’t wanna speak to anyone about anything after that..... your are my inspiration, you are hero ! Thank you for everything you are fighting for ........ thank you lady Gaga

I am so sorry this has happened to you. I hope you’ve found a therapist. They help because they don’t look at you with judgement. I have friends to some I have told my story but they couldn’t understand me. I told my ex boyfriend it was a relief yet he separated from me and moved on with his life. That’s how I found trust and saved money to go to a psychologist. Never in my life would I have thought to go there. My family is not supportive of it. And they don’t know my story. But man it feels good to talk. And to actually release the whole stress that is on my shoulders and in my chest. I can only hope and wish you the very best in your life. Allow yourself to feel, to breathe and to heal. Write about it, paint your feelings. Just release all the pain you have held inside you. I don’t know you but I wish you to love yourself. ❤️

I am so down to join! I am crying so hard right now! I have bipolar, ptsd, sexual abuse survivor, domestic abuse survivor, and I have been through so much! It doesn’t seem fair! I battle getting help. I’m all alone. And now, just two years ago, I lost both of my brothers, and I have been depressed bad ever since. I want to help others. I love you so so much!!!! I remember my oldest brother, he was handing out flyers in West Hollywood, Halloween I think, and he was so excited to be handing out LadyGaga stickers! That is a special memory in my heart! My husband just left me after nine years and I feel so lost and alone! GOD I wish I could hug you! I love you so much!!!!!
