Lady almost CRIES After I COMPLETELY Transformed her Yard - I Fixed her OVERGROWN Lawn for FREE

I knocked on this lady's door when I drove past and saw the lawn pouring over the curb in front of her house. She told me she's been trying to get someone to come mow it but the companies she has called either won't come give her a quote or are outrageously expensive.
She has been trying to keep up with her lawn by mowing small sections at a time with only 1 foot! You heard that right. She let me know she was disabled and I looked down to see that she had one of her feet amputated. I let her know that I'd clean up her entire lawn absolutely free of charge and figure out a price that worked for her for my crew to keep it up for the rest of the season.

@@duanehirini2078 That's funny. I lived by the Murray river in Sth. Australia for ten years, and having browns hanging about the house was pretty common. I had a yard set up to one side for the dogs to do their business and snake-proofed it as much as I could. I came out one day to find all four of them casually sunning themselves - with a dead brown lying on the ground, all chewed up! I raced them to the vet (3 kelpies and a malamute) in a panic, thinking at least one must have been bitten, but after observing them for a few hours the vet said they were fine. All I could think was that the mal was the one that attacked the snake and that the very thick fur around her neck had protected her when she chewed the snake by the neck. Doesn't always work out that way - I lost one of the kelpies and a pet goat to the browns.

I agree, I’m fully disabled and on disability, below poverty level, and it’s important to me that my lawn and neighborhood look good. I was raised as a military brat and on base your lawn has to be pristine so I grew up mowing the lawn. I love seeing a beautiful, trim lawn. Since I’ve become disabled, even though I often don’t have money for food, I have to pay $90 a month to have my lawn mowed and edged. That’s actually an act of kindness by a company that will only charge me $45 every other week. Doing something that might be easy and trivial to many, means the world to people that don’t have the ability and/or means. Thank you for having the heart to help those in need.

My dad owned his own embroidery business, and he always used to say "never underestimate the value of a free sample." In his business, that meant someone was out their wearing his work for the public to see and ask about. The same goes for you and those lawns. Word of mouth is a powerful tool. He also took his riding lawnmower around and would mow yards for free when he saw them overgrown, but that's just because he was a caring person, not because of business. All I know is those values made him very successful in his time.

There is also a guy that started robbing homes under this premise of helping with free mowing. Basically he'd ask for times in which he could mow their lawn for free and get them to reveal when they wouldn't be home and he breaks in at those times. Hope the cops catch up to him but he's responsible for knocking over at least 10 homes now (mostly seniors of course).

Speedy recovery! Check with your local city if they have volunteers for yard-work for seniors there usually is an organization available or veteran’s program might be of help or at least know which of your neighborhood chapters can help. Also check your local library’s bulletin for free resources. Now that lots of young folks are out of school, their free time can help to do good in their communities.

@@Piglife101 Not necessarily. Most people know who and what their neighbors are and that has a huge role in how the locals treat them. I have several neighbors that are awesome people and everyone helps each other out with them all the time. Then there's the oddball narcissistic a-hole idiot one that nobody will go near for good hard-learned reasons. All they do is whine about how nobody helps them while at the same time they happily report anyone for anything they imagine they have done wrong or just don't like and have done so many times the local law and emergency crews will not respond to calls from them anymore. Kinda hard to have sympathy for the person in the neighborhood that will call the cops on the guy who works 15 and 30-day rotations in the oil fields for not having mowed his yard for a month. Or that reported the couple down the street for having 'illegals' living with them because they bought a used RV and had it set up legally in their front driveway and their kids were camping out in it all summer.

I offered to do it and was happy to do it and after I invested like 7 hours there. He insisted on giving me 20 Euro and after that you just feel like he doesn't value your time. It suggest that you are trying to compensate the person for their good deed as if it were a service. A awful compensated service.

I watch a lot of these so called “charity cutting” videos, and they all seem to be a “one and done”. You have to wonder what the poor homeowner does afterwards. But you get my subscription for giving true charity by continuing to care about her situation and making the effort to work within her budget. Well done sir!

Agreed. We can’t change or control others only us. Imagine if more us made even modest efforts to be the change we want to see in our world? Humans share ~98-99.5% DNA. One big dysfunctional family with all life on this tiny planet incl the crazy cousins you try to avoid. Cheers✌️🌎
