Us white haired people taking over , bringing music back

My friend gave me his Joni albums when he left town in the early 80s. Here I am older in 2024 and Joni Mitchell’s songs remain young in my heart.

I am truly blessed to have grown up listening to these amazing women. Owning their albums is a privilege! 66 times around the sun and love them with all my ♥️

Leave it to Annie to stun people with this rendition, performed at the left hand of the Master. Annie, the devoted disciple, rendered this song beautifully, and with respect. How lucky can you be to sing for someone that deeply inspired you in your youth ???

Annie is always so direct about her emotions. It's one of the things that sets her apart. That, and of course her wonderful, unique sound.❤❤❤

Annie's voice is perfect for this song. So tremendously cool that she is part of this occasion.

Wonderful to see Joni still doing shows. She is without peer as a songwriter. Annie Lennox's performance here is superb. Very moving.

My God, this is incredible, thanks for posting for those who couldn't be there.

I will never meet Joni Mitchell nor Annie Lennox but now feel closer to both these great artists because of the Aberdeen connection. It’s like completing a circle. I write this in Aberdeen. Thank you Joni. Thank you Annie.

You’re both very lucky. I’m just blown away by Annie’s voice, while I have flashbacks of listening to Joni’s first album in our house in Portland, OR in 1971. I’d spend hours alone with albums .

No, she put up her child for adoption because she could not take care of the baby herself and there was a massive amount of stigma and judgement towards unmarried mothers in those days so she really had no choice. But she reconciled with her daughter eventually and became totally committed to making up for the lost years.
