@@tedreynolds6363true. but if it wasn’t for black americans there would be no rock and roll, country, blues, hip hop, and so much more. black americans have done a lot for the music industry. elvis presley most likely would not have been popular if it wasn’t for black american artists who inspired him.

@@tyrae7113 I worked in the entertainment industry for 35 years, successfully, specifically MUSIC so I KNOW the history, trust me. Black folks are instrumental to the foundation of modern music, no question about it, but others contributed as well. And yes, Elvis and many others admitted that they "stole" from black entertainers.

This is true throughout the world. South Korea's KPop is straight from Black America!!! I watched a video of Punjabi rapping in India. This is why June in America is Black Music Month from HipHop, Jazz, Blues, R&B, Gospel, Soul, Country, Disco, etc. Latin music is flavored from the Motherland. Black music is the reason the U.S. is #1 musically. Foreign artists dream is to make it in America. These are the facts.

Thanks for mentioning that. It ALWAYS ironically gets left out and/or overlooked. They only mention The Miracles had Motown's first million seller, but it was not Motown's first number 1 hit. Please Mr. Postman hit number 1 on the Hot 100 on Dec. 11, 1961. Give historic credit and respect where it's due!!!!!
