Yeah and Tauriel is also faked into this franchise, where the others simply are part of it since the beginning. Her actress is awesome and the character in general isn't bad. But she didn't belong into these 3 movies (which should also had to be at max only 2, but not 3, but *MONEY*)... I'd rather spend the rest of my life with Rosie. Sam has good taste. And also i'd like to add another good argument for Rosie: Potentially free beer. Lots of it.

EvenStar. Arwen is the Evenstar... the last light...heralding the darkness. The end of the reign of the Elves. Galadriel was actually the Morning Star - the first light, the bringer of the dawn... the beginning of the Elves.

Eowyn is the one I had the biggest crush on, especially the film version. Her beauty is underrated plus she's fearless as evidenced by her taking on the witch king.

From the books, she is definitely the most memorable. Read it decades ago and the image I had of her standing between the witch Queen and theoden is burned in my mind. I think it makes her more beautiful because of the memory. The others, as a kid, I just remember "ok she's some pretty lady that gives them stuff. Boring"

Next time I hear someone say something silly or uncultured such as “Tolkien didn’t know how to write strong female characters” I shall direct them to this video. This is so beautiful that I felt my eyes tear up at the first second. Well done!

I agree, this is refreshing after all the drama of war in fan made vids. My favorite of the main female charactors in LOTR both books and movies is Eowyn. Yes, Galadriel and Arwin's beauty is much made of, by both Jackson (filters!) and Tolkien, but for sheer boldness of spirit, bravery of both arms and emotion, none can compare to Eowyn. P.S. if you've never read the books, it's worth noting that Arwen and Galadrial are VERY closely related. Arwen is the granddaughter of Galadriel via Galadriel's daughter, Celebrin, who was married to Elrond. Beauty runs in that family, for sure! I don't mention Tauriel because she is a made up charactor. And I honestly think she is more charming and cute than beautiful, which makes sense since she is considered a very young Elf at under 1,000 years old.

After all Lotr combat videos, this was needed.

The new series should have found someone with Kate's regal bearing to match the character. I'm sure the actress playing Galadriel is a decent one, but she simply doesn't have the bearing to represent the character properly. In fact, MANY of the characters in AMAZON'S series seem "miscast."
