Formed in 1923, the County of Los Angeles Fire Department is an organization steeped in history and rich in tradition. This short documentary provides an overview of the events, innovations, and individuals who helped shape this premier fire agency over the years. During the 1950s, the County of Los Angeles Fire Department continued to expand and grow with more employees, fire stations, and other administrative offices, including a new headquarters. The biggest addition was its first Bell 47G helicopter flown by Roland Barton.
