He's the 2024 unbound winner! Chad Haga made a gamble and tried to breakaway from him with about a mile to go. Lachlan was able to close the gap and then sat behind him resting until the finish line. Then the finish sprint, Lachlan was more rested and easily took it riding no hands with arms up in the air in victory. Real road racing tactics from two world tour pros. Incredible racing! Need to see their race bikes.

I am a little surprised that 45 mm tyres work better than smaller sized ones given the relatively high speed they are traveling. For example Mohoric won the Gravel WC 2023 on 40 mm tyres and that was a gnarly course.

In the video, Lachlan says he's running Vittoria Terreno Drys 45mm. But in post-race photos it looks like he went with slighly different tires for the race - Front was Vittoria Terreno Dry 29x2.1 (622 x 54 mm) and rear tire was Vittoria Mezcal - hard to make out the width due to the mud on the tire but maybe 45mm.
