Don't know how anyone can argue with what Labour is doing right now. They're hiring serious professional people with deep knowledge of their field. Doesn't mean it's all going to turn around but this should be basic management and policy but feels so refreshing because we've had charlatans running the country for over a decade.

The Tories have been left with the absolute dregs for years, promotions within the failing party were not for ability nor experience but instead for loyalty to Brexit, Boris, Truss & Sunak. We have to acknowledge something our Grandparents understood, but we've forgotten, and that is passing examinations doesn't prepare our young people for life or employment. Dexterity and Visual Thinking are essential for engineering and technology, but we do not promote these talents. We are obsessed with algebra, and the simple truth is that most of the professions we have do not need it. Instead, we need to focus our visual thinking minds on gaining skills and experience and then reward them adequately, and we will make more Alan Turings and Sir Clive Sinclair's again, this is a fact not lost on our competitors in Germany and the Netherlands.

I'm sorry to have to point this out, but the reason people like Turing and Sinclair were successful and could gain insight into complex problems was because of their understanding of algebra. What on earth do you think the modern world is based on? It's not wood carving and interpretive dance! It's maths, physics, and cold, hard science. Take a look at the equipment and systems you're using to see and respond to this - what do you think underpins it? How did it get here? Who understands how it works?

Doesn't really matter though does it? Boris got Brexit done with his microwave-for-one ready meal, and then Truss and Sunak have made it such a rip-roaring success that it's blindingly obvious to everyone that it was the right thing to do. I don't know what the Leavers are moaning about. All they have to do is list all of the wins we've had so far, and list some of the benefits that will come in the future, then Remainers will shut up. Rather than nebulous arguments about "the potential benefits. what potential benefits? the potential benefits", and take back control well the country has shown that it didn't trust the previous lot with control of the TV remote.
