Extra impressed with Wes Streeting, as he used to work for Stonewall before entering politics. Glad that he has taken Cass Review on board. I have worked in primary care for 30 yrs, and from my experience, those who transition later in life, usually late 20s and beyond, tend to be happier with their decision. Interesting if any other clinicians have observed similar?

When I heard Robin Moira White voice and saw this person's appearance, I thought there was some error in the ether, or at least that my sound card has crashed.

There are masses of adolescent girls who experienced disquiet and discomfort as they approached adulthood. Offer thanks to whatever deity you embrace that those girls weren't given blockers and testosterone or the vast majority of us wouldn't be here today.

Ask the Trans if she has experienced pain after transitioning? For how long? I met several in a pain clinic I worked in. They were in a lot of pain & on strong medication to try to live a normal life.

Adults have to stop allowing puberty to be made out as a fearsome thing that children should be enabled to avoid. Puberty resolves the vast majority "gender" identity issues.

Much of the research suggests a social contagion - Lisa Pittman did a very interesting study that was then banned. Many of the people changed their mind on transitioning after 25 years age when their brain is fully developed. The pre frontal lobe is fully developed around 25 interestingly this gives better ability to make decisions.

Not letting kids make decisions because they're kids isn't denying the existence of trans people, if you're an adult you can believe what you want and live how you want but don't try to make society fall in line.

Middle aged trans people were children of the 40s ,50s, 60s, 70s and 80s when it was almost impossible to get any help with being trans, trans kids from those times suffered in silence, and a lot end their lives early,

The Tavistock Clinic's own numbers showed that in 2010 and prior they only had about 50 disphoria cases per year, mostly guys. By 2017 it had increased to 2600 and the latest figure was over 4000, 70% girls, many with autism. So there's something in that. Social media existing and it's use to increasingly sexualise women also contributes.

It's valid that the genuine trans know very early - sadly, now its fashionable there are a million not-trans kids all insisting they are. The trans activists have made life difficult for the genuine trans.

KIDS SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN PUBERTY BLOCKERS. How many young people are now detransitioning because they've realised they've made a huge mistake but unfortunately, for some of them, the effects of what should be illegal surgery, has absolutely ruined their lives . Anyone who even thinks kids should be given puberty blockers are absolutely mad, these people are not thinking of the young kids they're thinking of themselves. Leave the kids alone until they're old enough and adult enough to make their own minds up.

Typing in upper case doesn't lend your personal opinion any more credence. A very tiny number suffer regret, less than 1%. Regret is a complication of many medical procedures. Puberty blockers are currently considered best practice by a consensus of the world's expert medical authorities. I rather think they're better placed to make a judgement than some random youtube commenter.

I didnt want to go through puberty at 12 years old . I hated the change in my body . That doesn't mean a 12 year old should be allowed do what they want.

You can't vote before 18, you can't drink before 18, you are not a responsible adult until 18. Stop thinking that children know what is best, adults are meant to look after our children, leave children to be children and stop trying to justify your choices by making others choose the way you chose. 18 is when you are classed as an adult, 18 is when you can decide and not before.

The age 13 to 15 is tough . The brain is under going huge changes. Nobody is able to make this decision at this time. Not all doctors are the same , some are just want to make money.

Puberty is a human right. Protect all children from having there natural development interfered with by dangerous drugs.

I'm not in the UK (Aussie) but I suspect after the UK census breakdowns released last year and we saw how small this group really is, it dawned on politicians too. Let's face it with the all the noise from the usual far left suspects, we'd be forgiven for thinking the numbers were larger than they turned out to be. I.E. 97% of 16s and over completed the census. 93% of those voluntarily answered the questions on sexuality/gender identity. Numbers: gay 1.6%, bi 1.2%, trans, non binary, queer etc combined? .6%. It's been realised they can move with little backlash as the general public is already against blockers, removing womens spaces etc. They're politicians after all.

Let's not give too much credit to Liebour about this as it is about as much common sense as banning other illegal drugs.

If a teenager is so convinced that they are "in the wrong body", then where is the harm in them receiving therapy and whatever treatment is required for a few years until they are old enough to make an informed decision? The clinical evidence is predominantly against the efficacy of PBs.

Anyone ever met someone who could describe what it feels like to be a man or women.... No me neither. Having said that why do medical professionals affirm a trans persons feelings/opinion on what they are, what next affirming an anorexics claim they are fat and prescribing slimming pills ?

In a perfect world I would agree agree with Robin Moira White that we should leave it up to the clinicians, however when the clinicians' governing bodies have been ideologically captured then "her" answer becomes evasive and disingenuous.

Why the hell would adults allow or encourage this sort of abuse! The early years of a persons life are basically emotional turmoil! We learn to walk before we run and pushing doesn't help at all! They'll get to where they want to be in the end anyway! Christ, some kids want to be animals, would people encourage medical procedures to achieve that? I guess some sickos would!
