As a Pakistani I was always inspired by the secular version of India, i wished similar model in pakistan, but the recent shift in last 6-7 years in India has been depressing, we as a Pakistanis can relate this to the era of Gen Zia in 1970's, how it plagued and brought us to where we are today, tough many military interventions which are not common in India but the in tolerance in society grows gradually through generations and that means a chaotic future, I hope India gets back to its true secular model

My opinion: Its good to be open minded but western people are just ignorant. I mean movies like PK,Laal singh chadda,sholay or movies where muslims are often portrayed as te₹₹orists are still okay. But movies like Kerala story where they say it's based on facts but actually is based on lies and political propaganda should get banned bcz they create a sense of hatred towards a particular community
You missed one point Dhruv - “Lagaan” , we were so hopeful that it would win the Oscar, anyways Oscar nomination was in itself a matter of pride for every Indian . So calling Aamir as anti national is incorrect.

His works are always great.

I am striving to establish myself as a filmmaker, and I miss the era of Rang De Basanti when we made films that criticized the government. Aamir Khan is exceptionally great! He is the pride of Indian Cinema, along with Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan, Raj Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Hrithik Roshan, to name a few who have made significant contributions in front of the camera. The people behind the camera are countless. Many books in the world depict various stories, and we should not compare one to another. The same goes for films. They simply exist! We should watch, learn, and move on. Rewatch them! Don't think of them as either black or white!! Cinema is always about being grey.
I just watched Lal Singh Chaddha... I'll say it's just a masterpiece we misjudged it😢. Must watch
