Although me being a HINDU ,I have read both the Quran and GITA and would confirm that there is *no such direct interpretation* of what Nupur Sharma stated in the debate. Secularism means to treat religion as part of human culture and keep it separated from modern law and politics because modern law and politics should be applicable universally and should be independent of personal religious belief. Hindus have to work hard by following Updanisads with are quite secular. Christians are quite liberal and cool, thanks to logic and spiritualism of new testament which is quite secular. Muslims should focus on following their secular teachings (if any). Muslims have to work extra hard to keep modern law and politics water-tight separate from their religious beliefs.

I feel you cannot stop someone from speaking up their thoughts but those who speak should have a little bit of humanity that stops them from insulting someone else's beliefs.

Freedom of speech is at utmost importance specially when it comes to religious matters. Coz religion comes with beliefs and what you believe in has a deeper impact in society just like we see in Pakistan. So we need to monitor what people are believing in and are they getting brainwashed.

People like to imagine a world where freedom of speech means freedom from consequences is the goal. I m a Muslim...but I think ratan Lal shouldn't hurt Hindus sentiments...but police is also responsible they should take strict action against it so that the other's like nupur should also well aware of it....and media should also abide by these controversial talk shows....and honestly in Islam our prophet Muhammad (saw) teaches us the lesson give respect , forgiveness, avoid controversial talks etc

Honestly i belongs to 1st category because 1. I respect all religions 2. If we say something to the other we will get back the same we should not say anything to others 3. I lives in India so all we are indians if we will understand the meaning of Indian then it will be easy to understand each other 🙂

My sister just came from Assam and she just see what you said ,everything is true ,but Assam people should understand ,the main stream media is only work from studio ,never come out from delhi ..so please come to delhi and show your power on road when main stream media covering this then nation know your situation ...and don't trust delhi people they worst community in the world ...I am from main land and i know how they treat us even i am Hindi speaking .
